Our organization believes that the veteran has some solid hockey left in him and he was not getting his opportunity in Washington. canuck2xtreme Posted March 5, 2013 Author Share Posted March 5, 2013 The NHL draft lottery rules have been confirmed, so as Canuck2Xtreme has clarified, our non playoff teams will be ranked 1st to 14th based upon our final standings on Pickuphockey, and then 'paired' to the corresponding NHL teams 1 through 14 for the purpose of the draft. This way, if the say the team that owns the 12th pick of the draft wins the lottery in the NHL: then our 12th will win. Clear as mud. haha...but it works. Here is the odds and while its still early, its rather clear that Carolina's pick has a 25% chance to draw 1st overall and will draw no lower than 2nd: unless they manage to build ahead of steam for the second half of the season!
