Curious how re-alignment would affect us if next years divisions were right now? Here you go...all done up to give you a nice visual of the situation. This mock up presumes Quebec takes Phoenix' spot in the A div. The Board Of Governors has approved the plan now so it looks like it is happening and they will officially name the divisions later on.

Division A.............Division B.............Division C...........Division D

First 3 in each div get in the playoffs and the next two highest points teams in each conference get in as wild cards.

1 Kings vs 8 Blues.........1 Panthers vs 8 Senators

2 Chicago Vs 7 Oilers.....2 Capitals vs 7 Devils

3 Canucks vs 6 Jets.......3 Sabres vs 6 Penguins

4 Quebec vs 5 Dallas......4 Islanders vs 5 Bruins

Pretty cool really. I hope we adopt this plan and match the NHL.

The Blues New(old) Faces

Tom Poti

Tom Poti is not really a new Face on the Blues Organisation.

Poti joined the Team in the 2011/12 Season via Trade with the New Jersey Devils

who got D Joe Corvo in return. To bad...Tom didnt even played 1 Minute for the Blues

in 2011/12 cuz of an injury that he allready suffered in the 2010/11 Season.

After the last Season and the Lockout it looked like that Tom could retire from Hockey.

The Blues dealt him in the Off Season to another NHL Team.

It was a little surprise that Tom, just returned this Season finally we grabbed him off the Waivers.

If he plays..he´s a good Depth addition to our Defence. Tom has 2 Assist and 2 Pims in 13 Games this

Season so far.

Steve Begin

Veteran Player Steve Begin also got claimed off the Waivers lately and he will give us

back some Depth on the Forward section after we have lost Weiss , Larose and Bergenheim to injuries and some of our Prospects didnt had the success we have expected.

Steve has 1 Goal , 1 Assist and 12 Pims in 19 Games this Season so far.

Jonathan Rheault

Rookie Rheault was signed around a Week ago after we have lost Stephen Weiss

to a Season ending Wrist injury. The 26 Years old RW made his NHL Debut

on March 5th and he´ll may get more shots this Season. He was solid in his 3 Games with a TOI of 12 Minutes and a +2 Rating. We hope he can help us a bit on the Bottom 6 untill

Chad Larose returns..but it seems he´ll stay on the Active Roster with Bergenhem and Weiss

out for the Season.

The Rangers have finished a deep evaluation and will be waiving a few players later today who simply do not factor into our plans going forward. We would love for these players to find a niche on another team and strongly encourage anyone to take a flyer on them, good men all, who simply won't be appearing in our lineup before their respective contracts expire.
