Question for you all on the real NHL race for 8th..will 50/51 points be enough for Winnipeg to make the cut at 8th spot in the east?

Will 52 be enough and can the Coyotes reach that total before the season ends in the west? Dallas and CBJ are still hanging around but I am mostly interested in the Jets and Yotes making the playoffs, and they both happen to be in 9th right now...a chicago win and a phoenix win does a lot for the Yotes tonight...kind of excited to see some race games these next two weeks, and for the GML race too, haha.

All Quiet on the Eastern Front:

There's not much to speak of lately in T-Bay. As the deadline has passed, players have been hurt, sent down, and there's nothing much the team can do now but look forward until next season.

"It's quite frustrating", said Carey Price, fresh off of a new deal. "We have played our @$$3S off this entire year. We had a solid team that had balance throughout the lineup. Unfortunately, we feel a few points short after a slow February/March, leading us to play catchup for the rest of this season. In such a short year, a 100 point lead is as good as a 200-300 point lead in a full season."

The team will go with a leadership by committee following the departures of Marleau and Fisher. Right now, Tavares is the only permanent "Associate Captain" with Hedman, Okposo, and Josi alternating. "There are a couple of ways of looking at the rest of this season" said GM y0shi. "It can either be a time where we keep looking back at what could've been and mope, or we can seize the opportunity for some of our young players to demonstrate their leadership roles going into next season."
