Yeah, I was trying to be fancy, haha.....i am very noobish with actual programs and such...i still use MS Paint for instance as opposed to a photoshop of any kind...lol....and I use google docs in a very amateur way...speaking of Amateurs..here is this mornings rankings:

https://docs.google....YWdxYm96UWxnZGc

28 points: The Phaneuf Train
27 points: Canuck2xtreme
26 points: Tony Romo
25 points: Winterhawks
24 points: Cal & Gary's Phlegms
23 points: TheGermanCanuck, The Ratiocinator
21 points: Strombone1, OTTS
20 points: Wilb
19 points: Arby_18
18 points: Champions of Nothing, Primal Optimist

9 point separation after 3 days of games...its gonna be a photo finish!

Select 1 of the following:
- Dougie Hamilton
- Morgan Rielly
- Seth Jones
- Olli Maatta

You may be right, i just grabbed this from the original boxes....Morgan is who I should have been using...i will check and fix it. Thanks for double checking, its important since I am an error machine. haha

Fixed!! and indeed you are first with 28 points..no one else has changed as you are the only one to have picked Morgan Rielly..the error was all me and had i payed closer attention I may have picked Morgan over Mike as well...but I am happy with Jones the yankee. Again,, sorry for the mistake and if anyone else finds anything wrong: do not hesitate to point it out!

Last night was a big night for my team: 6 points from my russians and 3 more points from my swedes...9 point swing night with only 2 games played...gotta love it.

Fresh Standings with two big nights to go in the round robin portion:

https://docs.google....YWdxYm96UWxnZGc

30 The Phaneuf Train
29 Canuck2xtreme
28 The Ratiocinator
27 Primal Optimist, Cal & Gary's Phlegms, Winterhawks
26 TheGermanCanuck, Tony Romo, Our Time To Shine,
25 Champions Of Nothing, Arby_18,
24 Wilb
23 Strombone1

Two nights of round robin action left, including the big games tonight: Canada VS USA tonight!!! An important game for Germany tonight against Slovakia..germany could really use a win to bolster its hopes of staying in the top tier. Finnland faces surprising upstart Switzerland who have not lost in regulation yet and sit in the number two spot in that division..finally Czech's face Latvia in what will be the Latvian sides last gasp at a point from the round robin.

It is a small 'sample' size but i am mildly surprised by Switzerland. Their program has come on the last few years, as evidenced by Bearschi Bartschi and whatsisname becoming prominent names in North America, well...more prominent than most swiss guys before...

Germany just got a bad draw: they are sharing the division with Canada, USA, Russia...oh and just in case they wanted to have a slight hope: The Slovakian team..If germany were in the other side they would have a better shot at finishing fourth.

Swiss: beating Latvia is not a shock, drawing Sweden in regulation is a huge shock. Although if i recall the swedes are missing 3 original starters who got injured days before the tournament started. Hampus Lindholm is one of those missing guys

Any suggestions on how we should transition if the new CBA is somewhat close to the NHLs most recent proposal? Do we even need to do anything to transition? Should we include one amnesty buyout if the NHL does? Thoughts and ideas welcome!

Amnesty buyout = a player can be bought out of his contract and would not count against the salary cap.

I thought right up until the last week that whatever the final cap would be, it would be equally torn out of all players contracts....like if it dropped 9% in total then each player in the league would go down 9% in their contract value for every year remaining on those contracts...but that doesn't appear to be the case.

I will think about how we should incorporate the make whole..and I only suggest that we aim to mimick as close as possible the real deal, while keeping in mind it is a game and it could get too complicated to be exactly like the NHL.

I was thinking that Granlund should get a point, as on the IIHF live track of the game he is credited with the GWG due to the shootout goal he scored, which would give him three points on the night..but I looked back and While Canuck2xtreme suggested a point for the GWG, and he is our 'commissioner' I don't know if we ever agreed to it.

I want to say yes, point for the shootout Game Winning Goal, but I have a vested interest in Granlund, as he is on my team, so I will leave it to Curt to drop the hammer and make a decision for us. Half the players have Granlund selected, so its not a huge deal, but the decision will be the commissioners to make. Let me know. Thanks. In the meantime, updates are coming....I have a perfect cup of fresh ground coffee brewed to perfection in an old old old machine i love. So good...and of course Canada and FInnland won last night, making it even better.

EDIT: Never mind....I found a post from C2X that states very clearly 1 point = 1 point...so its been decided already.
