CDCGML Insider!!

- Sources out of Anaheim suggest the club may have been interviewing candidates to take over the floundering franchise. Current GM Brunners, while highly respected, has been heard from only sparingly of late, and with the team allowing many of their top end free agents to walk away from the organization without any sign of replacements has ownership concerned.

- It looks like Brad Boyes will have no trouble finding a place to play next season, with as many as 6 teams presenting offers. But while Brad assesses his options, finding a top 6 role, likely an important part of negotiations, so far seems elusive.

- It appears the Alexander Semin sweepstakes may be down to just 4 teams, but he may have to adjust to a greater travel schedule, as only one of the 4 teams still in the running is an Eastern Conference team. The added travel out west may have an impact on where the Russian enigma, just 2 years removed from a 40 goal campaign, ultimately ends up. But sources indicate the offers being presented by the Western teams are more substantial, with one of them offering money that would put him in the top 5-10 highest paid players in the league.

- Andrei Markov may be the top defenceman available on the market this summer, but he's not the only one receiving some very significant offers. A thin talent pool this summer has boosted the value of those available, and players like Johnny Oduya, Fedor Tyutin, Shane O'Brien and Brad Stuart are looking to cash in on lucrative deals as well. Several teams are in pursuit of these players and it appears that interest in them will only be going up, with a handful more teams considering taking a run at one or more of the names on that list.

The Winnipeg Jets would like to congratulate Nolan Baumgartner on an outstanding career as he retires from playing. He will be kept on with our organization as an associate coach with our minor league affiliate in Revelstoke. Nolan has been a fantastic influence on our younger players and we look forward to continuing our relationship with him in the future.

Also, sorry to nit pick but, Ekman-Larsson has been spelt as Eckman-Larsson for a while on my sheet. :P

We would like to welcome Peter to our organization. having already worked a season with Carey Price, he will have no problem fitting into our organization. We would like to make him the backup, and place Jeremy Smith back on the New Orleans Storm.

Also, I would appreciate some help getting some help moving this thread to page 30 so we don't have to see that bedazzled Rangers logo every time I visit this thread.
