Can't say I agree with much of this list at all... Reinhart is crazy low for example

I agree the order of that list is skewed but that's what happens when you make a top 100 like that. Completely subjective. Tim Erixon is ridiculously high and Ryan Murray was passed over by 10 players from his draft class. This is where advanced metrics can make you believe things which aren't necessarily true in the grand scheme of things.

Nice to note that the Isles have 12 on that list. Zibanejad would have made 13,

4. Evgeny Kuznetsov, Center, Washington Capitals
8. Dougie Hamilton, Defense, Boston Bruins
14. Brendan Smith, Defense, Detroit Red Wings
27. Calle Jarnkrok, Center, Detroit Red Wings
31. Vladislav Namestnikov, Center, Tampa Bay Lightning
35. Joe Morrow, Defense, Pittsburgh Penguins
54. Ryan Spooner, Center, Boston Bruins
65. Emerson Etem, Left Wing, Anaheim Ducks
71. Reilly Smith, Right Wing, Dallas Stars
82. Beau Bennett, Right Wing, Pittsburgh Penguins
90. Jeremy Morin, Left Wing, Chicago Blackhawks
96. Ludvig Bystrom, Defense, Dallas Stars

If I have 12 of 100, what have the rest of ya'll been doing?

/ Oh, that's right...trading your picks to me :) ...and lethunder. :(

48. Charlie Coyle, Center, Minnesota Wild

Moulson (82) - Tavares (85) - Havlat (85)
Marleau (88) - Fisher (82) - Brunner (60!)
Nick Johnson (66) - Grigorenko (64) - Kobasew (78)
Brown (72) - Desjardins (72) - Palushaj (75)
Brule (79)

Carle (86) - Hedman (85)
Josi (73) - Oduya (80)
Stralman (73) - Lee (76)
De Haan (69) - Meszaros (84)

Price (90)
Budaj (75)

Top 12 Forwards Average: 77.3
Top 6 Defense Average: 80.7
Goalie Average: 82.5

Think Brunner/Grigorenko are based on Swiss/CHL ratings so they are going to be lower than they should be, and Josi should be higher. Also, not sure how Tavares and Havlat have the same rating.

Tampa Hockey Prospectus Prospect Rankings:
3. Grigorenko
38. Aberg
40. Collberg
44. Jurco
73. De Haan
91. Brunner

So if the Isles have 12, Squeak has 9 and yoshi has 6 then we 10% of the league have 27% of that list.

Hrm...that can't be right...

wow, not one Ranger prospect on the list. I suspect that once the 'older' guys on that list graduate, my guys will start to populate it...so 'there is always next year'
guess that can be right...

Jakob Silfverberg (OTT)
Mattias Tedenby (NJD)
Ryan Garbutt (DAL)
Rob Klinkhammer (PHX)

Yeah not sure what Erixon has done in his time as a pro other than douche out on the Flames to be rated so highly.

Only 2 Panthers on the list, but I thought Watson and Hackett should've been on there as well.

I think he is that high - as he didn't have a chance to crack the Rangers (injuries aside) with Staal, MDZ, Mcdonaugh, Girardi, Stralman, Eminger, Sauer, Bickel.

But he still put up 0.64 PPG in the AHL, and he should get a shot in CBJ, that he should be able to excel as a puck-mover.

Most are not from this draft year...so you need to take that with a grain of salt in that newer GM's get a 'mulligan' until their recent draftees get a whiff of the pro game. I know there are a few of the best of early round one from this this summer on that list..but not many.

True - but I think that comes with the territory; as those players are so raw, no real way to say that they are better then any of players with better track records or experience.

How do you guys feel about the twins not wanting to play in Europe (at least not the first half according to team radio) during the lockout?

This tells me they're tired and want to rest. Im not sure how they feel about it.

They stated today that if the lockout is a full season - then they will likely go play for Modo.

I understand why they are saying this though - they have made millions of dollars, and have families; it's hard to justify going half way across the world away from your family.

But I do feel they really care about winning the Stanley Cup by not tiring themselves out with hockey and possible injury.

And I bet insurance..similar to Sidney Crosby's situation, although most likely not so exacerbated, i suspect insurance knocks down their ability to earn, making it less lucrative to go anyway, and I think that in the last half of the year, they would want to go play simply to keep in form if it looks like a year off in the NHL.

Yeah- the insurance is crazy.
