I don't have any issue. I was just poking fun. This is just a distraction after all, not the game itself. I am curious to see what happens but could give a rat's ass what the win/loss looks like.

You say this now, but when we meet in the playoffs....you'll care.. oh you'll care.

Signing: The Vancouver Canucks have signed UFA F Ben Hanowski to a 3-year deal.

Ben Hanowski- 3 year deal worth $1.85 million dollars ($650,000 per season).

Sorry guys, there`s been a mistake here. Ben Hanowski is the proud property of the Boston Bruins.

For your reference, he was signed on May 20th, 2012 to a two year deal.

If the league could reverse this error, and add Hanowski to our minors, we`d appreciate it. Sorry for the confusion.

Brandon Combine forwards:

Brett MacLean - Joey Hishon - Vladamir Tarasenko

Ben Hanowski - Quinton Howden - Alex Chiasson

Brett Sutter - Tyler Pitlick - Zach Hamill

If there is a whole season lockout, that'll make our prospect pool that much better/more experienced.

Tampa's New Prospect Update
Mikhail Grigorenko GP 1, 1G, 3A, 4P
Henrik Tommernes GP 6, 2G, 2A, 4P
Damien Brunner GP 2, 1G, 1A, 2P
Sebastian Collberg GP 6, 1A
Pontus Aberg GP 5, 2A
Max Iafrate: GP 2, 5 PIMs
Mattia Marcantuoni: GP 2, 0P

Not a bad start thus far

Okay, all the team charts are 100% up to date.

Per my count, here's where each team is in regards to the salary cap. If you are over or under the cap on either roster, it will be indicated in brackets beside your team name. The players beside each team in brackets are in the organization but so far unassigned to a roster spot.

Cap compliant teams

Teams that are over the cap ($70.2 million) or their minors budget:

Teams that are under the cap floor ($54.2 million)

Hey Curt-

I'd posted the following adjustment to my budgets in July, and I guess it never took effect...

I would also like to realign my Front Office budgets: 0 to legal, 10mil to Relations, 10mil to medical, and 15mil to the minors.

That should solve my cap compliance issue

Savard is your 3rd line center?

Isn't that the epitome of the donut line?

And Pronger is playing too?

/ As there is no listing of NHL LTIR currently (no salary, no CBA, no need) I will need some direction from the league if I am to do anything here.

Yes, players like Savard, Pronger, Kesler, etc. who would be injured to start the year in real life are healthy in the sim.

I will post injuries as they arise and teams can deal with them at that point.

Keep in mind that all the league rules will be adhered to, as if the NHL misses the entire season, the sim will be our actual season.

Ah... as in counting as paid cap hit on our charts?

Yes. If the NHL misses the whole year, the sim will become our season for the year.

Newswire: New York

Rumours are swirling around the east coast that The Rangers bean counters are looking to leverage dead space on their minor league roster....according to a clerk in the Capologist offices of Madison Square Garden the Rangers GM has instructed his team to try to negotiate an improvement in next years draft ...ie, a swap of draft picks that benefits the Rangers....as the price of taking on salary in the minors....while this could not be confirmed with the GM, it appears that New York has around 3 million in space available on the farm, and future considerations of this type are not unheard of.

From what I understand no.

We will follow what the NHL does ---- so if they have a half season, then our cap/payroll follows accordingly.

If the full NHL season is wiped out -- then we follow what the NHL will do (whether that be wiping out the entire season of contracts, or carrying the contracts forward a year ---- which as I said really depends on what the NHL/CBA agrees to)
