avelanch
Just a quick question guys. If he decides to play in Sweden after not making the Canucks roster, it will be just like us sending him to Junior right? Meaning we would have to let him stay in Sweden the whole season and can't call him up?
avelanch
I'm fine with him playing in sweden over playing another year in the OHL. If he was choosing Sweden over the AHL I'd be a little upset. My guess he's home sick

D.Doughty
Good, better for his development
cs2016
except he's from denmark, and it's gillis choosing him to go to SEL instead of OHL.

CRAZY_4_NAZZY
If true, ouch Oshawa takes a heavy blow to the team. But good for Jensen, will be able to progress much more quicker playing against men than boys he knows he can already dominate.
Kack Zassian
Thought AHL farm team would be much more efficient than Swedish League in developing young prospect
nd84
There can be a recall clause in the contract, but if he goes there I don't expect we see him back. Any contract he signs now will have a clause that if he makes the Canucks out of training camp, he is released from the Swedish roster.
avelanch
Denmark is still pretty close to Sweden.

Provost
he wouldn't be signing a contract with anyone, since he's already under contract with us. he would be loaned to a SEL team by the canucks, which is why teams in the SEL are contacting Gillis, not Jensen. avelanch
I'm still fairly confident the NHL team has to loan the player to the SEL team, and that the canucks would pay a portion/all of the contract (like huet and the blackhawks) in that situation he doesn't sign a contract with them, the nhl team signs a loan agreement on his behalf. but this area of contract rules is as clear as mud. UFCanuck
He developed a complete 2 way game in the OHL, looked AHL ready in his Chicago Wolves stint. So it's the right move to graduate from juniors to Pros. Since he's not eligible for the AHL, the SEL is the next best thing.
Grape
He should join Modo to develop under Nazzy
Provost
I still think we need to loan him to them and that he can't just go on his own.
EternalCanuckFan
It would be cool if the Canucks and MODO developed a kind of loan system. Nazzy could still be involved with the organization that way.

CCF4E
Would a year in Sweden burn off a year of his entry-level contract? I'm assuming no but I'm not too sure....
