He better be drunk to trade Schnieder
He'd better be drunk to pass on the best deal. If he gets a great offer, or a biding war, started for Schnieder than he'd better pull the trigger.
Great Job on the drawing though, the suspense is killing me

"It's an opportunity, we don't look at it as a last chance... We look at it as an opportunity to do something great. We are going to take it period by period, shift by shift. You just have to be better than the guy across from you... Every guy in this locker room I can say believes we can do this." - Ryan Kesler

Although I don't really expect one of them to be traded yet, I think it will happen sometime this summer.

Haha Nice, I hope he trades today though. It would be nice to have a high end draft pick... Haven't had one of those in a long while!
He can still trade on draft day and get a high end pick?

When Lu went public, and it sounded like a trade demand, Gillis looked like he was handcuffed. But by giving the impression that he would be open to the possibility of trading either, and saying he's willing to go into next season with both goalies, he has put himself back in the driver's seat.
Of course, Schneider is tradeable in theory, just like any other young stud in the league. But I imagine the price is astronomical - far beyond what any team will be willing to pay.
So...what I'm saying is...the beer in the comic is non-alcoholic?

as long as he trades before the high end picks are made, yes. he can trade up until the pick he is trading for is made.
You never really know. Maybe the Leafs are waiting to see what is available at 5 before making a deal. Maybe someone else is? Probably far too hopeful, I'd be happy if Schenn was coming back.

Can't trade an unsigned Schneider because he'd be subject to an offer sheet.
I assume the team trading for him would have a contract prepared.

This might be my favorite one ever. 6 pints at once. Now this guy would be fun to drink with.

It's funny, few yrs ago we couldn't buy a goalie, now we got 2 great ones and we don't even know what to do with em'!
and that's not counting our prospect goalies, who seem pretty solid too.
Great comic. can't wait to see what happens, would be happy to keep both if we can swing it.
