He just tweeted this

Jus landed in Van surprised to see sun. #summerishere.

It's possible that he could just be here for a medical checkup to see how his shoulder is healing but MG did mention during his radio interview yesterday that players are already back in town, using the facilities at Rogers Arena and working out to prepare for the season. He didn't give specifics as to which players but it's great if they are all anxious to get back out there. May help us avoid our usual October slump.

As long as they're not tired and burned out by the time the season arrives.

What's next... a thread about what color of shirt he is wearing?

Great, he's back in town. Who cares?

That isn't even funny. I mean if it were a Sedin or Burrows we were talking about, I'd get it. But Kesler? Really, it isn't even funny if it was Sedin or Burrows because that is a lame old joke even my 70 year old dad says...So ya. :-S

Michigan is in the midst of a heat wave. 35 degrees, with the humidity taking up to 41 degrees. And having severe thunderstorms. Would you want to stay in that or be in a mild, slightly rainy climate?

Some of the responses in this thread have reminded me why I never start new topics unless they are about breaking news pertaining to the team

It's too hard to have a civil discussion without people jumping to conclusions

I didn't start this thread to speculate or to joke that he'd been traded. It was meant to talk about how the players seem genuinely excited about next season. Last summer they were mentally and physically exhausted and were probably wishing that the off season would last a bit longer. This year they really seem to be looking forward to getting back out there.

That is all.

Lol...I totally agree. Wait, are you saying you know what shirt he was wearing when he landed today? Don't hold that stuff back! If it was like a shirt with palm trees, maybe he just got back from touring Tampa Bay. But if what he was wearing smells like sadness and failure, he was in Toronto.

Lol. Not used to the long off season. I bet they're enjoying it. I guess there is a silver lining to getting beat in the 1st round, the players really needed a good break.

Dude...Kesler is THE BIGGEST diver on the Canucks...

I love him when he plays hockey because he's a great player when he does - but his diving habits are shameful especially since he's good enough to not do it and beat players with his skills.

Athletes today are scared to make Muhammad Ali Statements.

Nope. Rarely miss a game thanks to internet and the best sports TV pack available. And I don't see him as diver, let alone the worst in the league. I have seen way worse. Burr is way worse...still like him.

Kesler is most certainly a top 3 diver in the NHL.
After a few days here, I am surprised half of you got the anti-bot question correct to register for this site.

Does Kes dive? Sure. It runs rampant in Vancouver. But the worst in the league?? I don't think so. Not even sure he is worst for it on the team. And I agree, Brown is bad for it. But it is a league wide problem. I just hate seeing our boys do it.

So again, while all the "fans" debate Kesler being a diver (specualtion on this is hilarious, considering nearly every player dives.) I will once again state that Kesler came to Vancouver because out of the two places he lives, Vancouver is not presently entering the sun.

Lol...yes. I drink a lot while they are on but I watch. I really didn't see Kes diving that bad. I do notice the classic head jerk in a scrum. I guess that is a dive too. But worse then Burr?? Worst in the league? Frack...I am a bigger homer then I thought! Lol!

Kesler is most certainly a top 3 diver in the NHL.

Brown, Marchand, Crosby, Doughty, Peverley, Thornton etc.

Kesler doesnt make the top 10

I own his jersey. He is the biggest diver I have ever seen. I miss the 41 goal Kesler.

Rat face Marchand is a worse diver, Mike Riberio, Mike Smith, Dustin Brown, Andrew Ference, Shawn Thorton.....I could go on.

So I am not alone in being shocked people say he is the worst diver in the league? I agree, he dives but I don't think he is worse then Burr, Riberio, Rat face or Brown.

It would be okay if you didn't see many games and therefore didn't see Kesler as a diver.

The fact that you have the 'best sports TV pack available', yet still can't see him as a diver is much much worse.

Kesler has been my favourite player on the Canucks ever since he rose from the AHL to play on this team. I've been a fan of him since he first put on a jersey (see #20 in sig).

However, being a fan of his doesn't mean I can turn a blind eye to his diving. It got out of hand. It got embarassing. He is a proud guy and 'm confident he will change.

What a ???? joke. Benning is the worst GM in the NHL. I can't believe this guy is actually this stupid. This imbecile is going to drive this team into the ???? ground.

Down by the River - Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young.
