Not in the way burr et al have

That's because Raymond is a restricted free agent and can only make a certain percentage less than his previous contract.

Farhan was on the radio today and he said he knows Bolland has been dangled for Luongo. IMO Bolland would be perfect for the 3rd line centre and a decent replacement for Kes while he's out. I'd want Chicago to throw in a bit more tho if we are sending Lu to a big rival.

I would love Bolland. But first things first, the moment that disgusting rat steps in our dressing room he is to be power washed, de-clawed and forced to compliment the Sedins for 24 hours. Then he will have to fight Kassian and get hipchecked by both Hamhuis and Ballard.

If he survives, he will become a Canuck.

Thx for the info. I wasn't aware of that stipulation.

I don't think we should let Hamhuis hipcheck anyone, we want him healthy!

Agreed - a misfit in so many ways. First - he's not worth wasting a significant amount of Luongo's value on. For all the talk about Schroeder being too small for the NHL - he has 5lbs on Bolland - and Schroeder isn't a 3.4 million cap hit. Bolland's cap hit would get in the way of potentially signing Doan. Simply put - I would rather give Schroeder a chance - and “We'd be sure not to let them him on our team”.

Bolland is a difference maker, kyle wellwood or a washed up b-mo are not.

I'm sure that's Stan Bowman's way of saying "F&%k you Vancouver. You are f%&king pathetic if you are willing to consider taking the #1 anti-Canuck pest for Luongo."

Onto Luongo. Buzz around #Canucks is he will be asked to waive NTC to join #Leafs as soon as he's done in Vegas.
Hockeyy Insiderr@HockeyyInsiderr
Sources confirm as of right now #Leafs have best offer on the table for #Canucks Luongo but #FLAPanthers and #Blackhawks can still up bid.

Bozak, Kulemin, Franson?

I don't see Toronto having anything we want/need. No thanks to Grabovski.

He may be their best player, but that doesn't mean we'd want him.

We don't need another smallish skilled winger, we need a gritty player with some size.

he is very gritty. he plays like he is big and doesn't quit. I think he's the best return we could get from Toronto. they have nothing of great value to offer other than their 1st rounders.

Anyone who doesnt want Bolland is nuts, take the Canuck coloured glasses off people. He is a piece of $hit to play against. Don't think that would hurt the team at all.

Regarding Burrows and his paycut:

He took 2 million for 4 years. That's sacrificing a lot of money. He could have gotten at least 3.5 or even 4 million from another team. For his hard work and dedication. The guy kills penalties also.
Missing out on another 2 million for 4 years? I don't know about you, but letting 4-8 million slide just to stick it with the Canucks and help MG build a team....Burrows is a trooper.

When Burrows signed that contract he wasn't a 3 or 4 million dollar player. He had recently started playing with the Sedins and started scoring goals.

Burrows was set to be UFA in the summer and he signed the extension at the trade deadline. Apparently MG told his agent there was a trade happening if they couldn't come to an agreement.

Burrows was a self professed 3 rd line checker at the time. He put up good numbers because of the Sedins. The year before signing the extension Burrows had 12 goals. Up to the extension Burrows had 16 goals that year. Yeah he could have gotten a little more but the Burrows of 08 was not the Burrows of now.

I don't think Burrows will re sign at 2 million in the future. He'll get a lot more. Part of the reason Is Burrows is a proven player now and another reason is the salary cap is a lot higher now than it was in 08/09.

I will say though that Burrows has been the best bargain in the league over the past couple of years. I think his next contract will be around $4 mill per year for 3 or 4 years.

To Toronto: Luongo , 2nd round pick , Sauve

Chicago need centremen and they are getting rid of Bolland??? There's a reason for that. He is not very intelligent and is a rat. Exact opposite of what Gillis is looking for.
I can't see how Burke doesn't come out with the best offer. He's potentially on his last year as GM and is going in with Reimer and Scrivens? Burke isn't a dumb man. JVR or Gardiner please. I dont want any Leaf scrubs. One of the big 3 from Florida would be my first choices.

take out the 2nd and Sauve, Colborne for Biggs, make the 3rd a 1st.
