Love how people make it sound so easy...Move up, grab people -- who cares what you get rid of and who cares if no one wants Raymond....

Who said anythng about trading Raymond to move up. Did you read a proposal from me on what it would take to move up? Read my post before you qoute me and attribute words to me that I did not say.

Forsberg to Caps... please MG, trade up for Grigorenko.

Yeah! I definitely want the Canucks to have Grigorenko... big request though with 15 picks still to go. I think Buffalo might take him here.

The Canucks say they have lots of interest in Luongo. But the best fits, and the likeliest destinations haven't changed. FLA or TOR.

Wasn't really rocket science though... Sabres were seriously lacking size down the middle.

I'm freakin choked. I've always liked the Sabres but they become one of my favorite teams now with Grigorenko. I've been following this kid for over 2 years now when he was still in Russia. I've always loved this kid.

Very disappointed MG couldn't trade up to get this kid. Future super star.

I didn't specifically say you mentioned Raymond - I was simply quoting you for the "move up" notion that so many others and yourself keep posting. Sorry that I didn't specify otherwise, your quote was for context of the idea, not for any context of a proposal.

I still maintain - this needy feeling of wanting to move up is silly unless it's a couple of spots. You don't move up unless a team doesn't really want anyone where they're at or if you give them something they benefit from. The Canucks aren't in a position to continue throwing away picks for players that really aren't considered all that great after spot 10...it's fine if you disagree.

I apologise for my language. I have over 3000 posts and have never made a post like that before no matter how much someone pissed me off. Grigo got picked by BUF at the same time I was writing a response to you, I let frustration get the better of me.

Be happy if he went to Florida. Liked what they had going this year and I think he'd make them quite a bit more competitive. And I hate the Leafs and would be fine watching them miss the playoffs.

That would be great. I think its going to be a deal with the Leafs involving Jake Gardiner. Burke picked Rielly with the 5th overall. He's already got Gardiner as the top line puck mover. Why take another player who does the same thing with the 5th if he's not planning on moving one of those two,

No prob. It's hard to sit and wait for things to happen. I know how that is. Hopefully we get something worthwhile or trade for something...

Buffalo Sabres are the big winner in this year's draft. Two talented Centermen with size down the midddle. Great day for Sabres.

Grigorenko
Hodgson
Girgensons

for the next 10 years.

Meh...Grigs is a huge question mark IMO.

With Leafs drafting Reinhart which makes no sense to me unless they're planning to replace a young defenseman...

The key difference is that Sopel can fill in for Seabrook and Campbell just fine. Bieksa, he is garbage so in that sense he is like the worst defenseman in the league.

When Cody (Hodgson) gets older, he might be better than Datsyuk.

Let's not push this guy (Kassian). He's still immature, and if he fails on the 2nd line it's because he isn't ready. Some guys really need years to develop, it's how well and how fast players adapt to the game. In my opinion, I'd rather have Horvat getting 2nd line minutes. He will start off on the 3rd line next season but I see him making the transition, being a great compliment to whoever plays his wings.

At this point, I don't see Kassian fitting in to any role other than a 3rd. If players like Kassian start getting 2nd line minutes then we just stay inconsistent as a team.

I wonder if the Canucks are waiting to see who is available at their pick before making a trade?

I trust Gillis more than ever right now. Watching buffalo pick two centers in the top 15 shows what they think of Hodgson. They already have centers Roy, Ennis, and Joel Armia.

**Sigh** That is really the best option. Good thing the lack of hockey for several months doesn't affect him like it does the fans.
