CRAZY_4_NAZZY
If we honestly dont qualify Grags and let him go to UFA we essentially wasted an important part of the Hodgson trade.
oldnews
Hopefully the Gragnani part isn't true. If they shop him after only 14 games played in Van, I would send a huge facepalm to the Canucks scouts. AV, a few days after the Hodgson trade: "My scouts told me Kassian is a top 6 winger now". Gillis, after the Hodgson trade: "We've been targeting Gragnani since last year". ,

Canucksbiggestfan
My question for Canuck fans is... If the Canucks are unable to move Luongo and a lot of teams have interest in Schneider, would you be willing to trade Cory?

Dazzle
Mike Gillis claims Gragnani is qualified... yet Pierre Lebrun says he is not. Two really good sources - I don't really know who to believe.

Dazzle
The guy who qualified him LOL who knows though - MG could have lied about that - but that would be pretty shady - even for MG.

singing chef
If Schneider isn't signed before July 1, he becomes a RFA. Then, if a team hits him with an offer sheet that he signs (let's say $4.5MM per for 4 years), and Gillis matches, is he untradeable for a full year under the current CBA ? That being the case, there is a real urgency to deal Luongo before July 1, as it then narrows our options of trading whichever goalie attracts the best trading offer. Just a thought on a stormy day. mpt
I don't think it matters if Luongo is okay with sticking around. He's the one that asked for a trade. If he wants out that bad, he should include more teams on his list.

Noheart
"Know this from the Panthers: They’ve decided this weekend they’re going to see this Luongo thing through. They’re going to focus on it seriously. " Florida also recently said they needed a little time - were likely focused on what they'd get out of the draft before reassessing what they can afford to part with to get Luongo.
