guesswhere
Pretty obvious. I didn't want Schenn coming to play for vancouver, but I wouldn't have minded if we were part of a 3 way with tor/phil with jvr coming here and schenn going to the flyers. GradinToSmyl
I wonder if it was true that Schenn was offered Straight up for Luongo like Jason Botchford or whatever said. Imagine if we swapped him for JVR. JVR is exactly what the Canucks need.
2009cupchamps
First of all Iam not a Luke Schenn fan, but everyone on here say he is worth nothing no nothing about hockey. He is 23 years old and has already played 4 years in the NHL, while most D-men do not mature until 27 years of age. Add that in with the fact that Toronto has destroyed the kids confidence. He will be a good d-man in this league for a long time.
HockeyHobo73
Grateful? I am so delighted he is no longer on the Leafs. Thank god. Sick and tired of stupid Canucks fans willing to settle for Schenn. Sure he's tough, and hits, but a huge defensive liablity. Lets just put it this way, he's not even as good as Keith Ballard right now overall. He's young, and better long term value, but even Keith Ballard is not as defensively liable. So glad he's gone.
smithers joe
one of the sports panel members, said that schenn can't pivot to the right, so gets beat by players going around his right side....he'ld be on the bench a lot here.....
Guest Dasein
Schenn was a great return piece as a part of a package, so no, I'm not grateful. The only defenseman that interests me now out of TOR and FLA is FLA's Erik Gudbranson - though he would have been my #1 target all along ... It's just Schenn would have been easier to pry out of the team ... And you are obviously not that bright. Had Schenn been still available, that makes TOR look more stronger as a trade partner - forcing other teams that have interest to step up their offers. Now that TOR - a major competitor for Luongo - doesn't have Schenn, their offer gets weaker (maybe Franson), hence other teams may feel they don't need to strengthen their offer. mbal23
on tsn it said that burke thought that the asking price for lu is way too high. he was quoted to saying that he doesnt want to throw half the team just to get a goalie. oldnews
Will be even more grateful when the Leafs as a whole are off the market / not an option. The only downside with Schenn being out of the picture will be the Kadri, Komisarek, etc etc names propping up. No Leafs. No thanks. Hey Dale Tallon, what are you up to this weekend? Getting serious about this Luongo deal.

canuckrelevantname
Kinda interesting how the two largest trades over the past two days involve teams reuniting brothers. Staal's and Schenn's. Neither sets are twins, but what team wouldn't want a brother combo after seeing how well our mavericks function together on the same team! GradinToSmyl
Burke is full of hot air and BS. Thinking he'll be able to get one of the top 5 goalies in the last 5 years for a couple of draft picks. Seeing how the Leafs have 15 players that are untouchable in his opinion what did he think the Canucks were going to be interested in?

GradinToSmyl
There is nothing wrong with the grammar in that sentence. What it needs is better sentence structure and maybe punctuation. As in: I am the mighty Buck Foston, who is never wrong, but never sniffed enough glue to thing a Schenn for Luongo deal was to go down. There you go!
