!
Yes, Burke knows whats a quality goalie. He has one stanley cup ring, one more than you'll ever have. He is a gm, a profession you will never have a chance of being. Quit questioning a professional, they are called professionals for a reason

D-Money
/\ .872 I dare you to find one other goalie with a playoff save percentage this low (at least 10 games played). Then I dare you to call that goalie a "good goaltender".

TheCammer
As someone who was a fan of the Vancouver Canucks when Burke was GM, I have to ask: Did Burke ever know what a quality goaltender is?

Vlas=d
And yet, miraculously, the Leafs always have sub-par goal tending. So explain that one. There is nothing wrong with questioning Burke's ability to assess talent, he aquired Kessel and figured that would be enough to get into the playoffs. Yet the Leafs finished second to last in the league that same year.
cIutch
Kessel needs to be on a team like Boston otherwise he is useless he plays like a giant feline for Toronto because he is afraid to get hit.

awalk
I actually agree that Cloutier was a lot better than people said. Proof is in the fact that when he went down to that basically career ending injury, look at how bad they were without him in net. He was a battler and a competitor. But Burkes track record speaks well for himself. Arguably two successful goaltenders fielded in his career as GM, out of how many?
