DIBdaQUIB
If it's true, MG should make it celar that he will either be sitting on the bench watching Cory, or helping the Wolves in the AHL.

AnInconvenienceBrah
if this is legit and Luongo is going to be a pain and handcuff us and if Florida won't offer anything good back or wants to dump a bad contract on us then put his ass on waivers and he can have fun in Columbus. Clearing Luongo's contract and fitting Schneider in as the #1 is already a plus for Vancouver, if Luongo wants to play hard ball then frack it put his ass up on waivers and there's no way Columbus passes up on a free Luongo and we clear like 40+ million and can then sign Schenider, that's a huge plus for Vancouver. Florida has already gone on record saying their not giving up any of their top prospects for Luongo or willing to pay much for him. I don't understand how Luongo can say he won't be a pain or one of those players if the club decides to go another direction and then only gives us one option to trade him to. Nuck_in_NorCal
Going to be a lot of "fans" jumping off the wagon once the season starts up again. This isn't mommy's basement where you throw a tantrum because she didn't pick up your favourite cereal. Canucks Org is a business first, and if they can get more for Schneids than Lu, they'll make that deal - no amount of holding your breath until you turn blue will influence their decision. Lychees
*yawn* Why exactly would Lou be mad if Schneider got traded instead of him? It just means that barring another massive trade we'll be relying on him come playoffs and if it comes to it, playoff elimination games.

darkpoet
"Roberto Luongo is trying to take his talents to South Beach. The Vancouver Canucks goaltender has refused to waive his no-trade clause for deals that would see him shipped to the Toronto Maple Leafs and Chicago Blackhawks, according to Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Post-Dispatch. http://www.torontosu...to-leafs-report
Geoff Peterson
It's not to hard to see why Lou would not want to go to the Blackhawks, after all the hate between the teams it would be hard to shut it off, oh to be a fly on the dressing room wall. B-town Canuck
I find this hard to believe. Why would a Columbus reporter know this and nobody else? It makes no sense.
dura_mater
Let's rewind a bit: @ 3:50 Reporter: "Roberto are you willing to waive your no trade clause?" Luongo: (very little hesitation) "Yeah of course, if they asked me to. I DON'T WANNA BE ONE OF THOSE GUYS THAT'S GONNA STAND IN THE WAY OF ANYTHING" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTuZ918y1EY
BedBeats™2.0
I doubt this is true, just watching NHL Network and Bob Mackenzie is talking about it. I dont think that there ever has been a complete deal in place where Gillis went to Roberto and asked, Luongo hasn't even supplied a list of teams, If there was a deal in place to go to Toronto I doubt he would refuse to waive his NTC.
