Luongo Refuses to waive NTC

Look... IF the canucks WANT to trade Luo, but luo is making it difficult, they could always plant his butt on the bench. come trade deadline Luo would likely broaden his list (if there even is one). but i do think he has a NMC so burying him in the minors isnt an option.

Gotta love the vicious pack mentality of the Canuck fan base to take rumors and immediately take it as truth enough to drive a player out of town and insult them at every turn.

Year after year I see these fans twist words and take twitter feeds and undisclosed sources as truths to make an excuse to run a player out of town.

So this is the message we want to send the players out there? If you do so much for this team and then say you will consider waiving your NTC to help the team but we can't trade you we will bury you and run you out of town. If this happened and I was Cory I would not sign here ever after seeing what is happening to Loungo knowing that unless I totally dominate, I will be run out of town and even with a NTC I will be benched or just be buried in the minors until I have no option but to leave.

It was obvious from the beginning he wants to be close to home with his wife, and the only 2 teams possible for that would of been Tampa or Florida. We all know Tampa is out of the running, so that really only leaves Florida, so wasn't to surprised by that. Vancouver is hard on goalies here, they always have been and that also has a lot to do with Luongo wanting out because of the fans and public and media who put all the blame on him, now really think about it would he really want to go to Toronto? Come on it's worse in Toronto then it is in Vancouver, why would Luongo want to leave Vancouver to go to a city who will be all over him all year if he doesn't play well or meet their expectations. It will be worse in Toronto then here and Luongo knows this and to why he will not go to Toronto.

Bobby-lu just refuses, he refuses, he refuses, he just simply refuses !!!!!!!

I know this because my brother's dog told a horse, that is close to a source that lives next door to the homeless guy that hangs around Rogers on game nights.

Why would anyone waive their NTC to go to Toronto where they have not made the playoffs since the lockout? Get real fans, Lu wants a chance to win.

But I am kinda shocked he wouldn't want to go to Chi where they would instantly become the favourite, and he could have a chance at sticking it to the Canucks.

"Told by very good source #Canucks G Roberto Luongo has -- to this point -- declined to waive no-trade clause to go to #Blackhawks or #Leafs," Portzline tweeted Monday. "Luongo using the power of his no-trade to 'steer' a trade to #Panthers as much as possible at this point in off-season."
