Holy! So if we dump Ballard's salary, trade Lu for more space, dump Raymond, we'll have a crap load of space!

Wouldn't mind Doan here on a 1 year deal at $4-5M.

Don't forget Ratmond at a minimum of $2.25 and then that leaves three contracts spots for around $7M. Next year there are two major renewals as well in Burrows and Edler so they have to be fairly cautious. They can't go crazy. If they sign Schultz that pretty much takes up close to $4m so now down to two spots for $3M.

If Luongo's contract gets dumped that opens things up fairly wide.

There are definitely options. It will be interesting to see the money that gets thrown around on Sunday. It looks like the UFA's are going to get huge dollars so it might not be a bad thing to be cautious going in.

Burrows new contract is not going to be huge - his last contract was his change to cash in. Edler might be pricey. Luongo's cap hit no longer looks that bad eh?

This just means there are going to be more ridiculous contracts offered come July 1st. Which really is not a good thing. . .

Yea, now that the cap has been inflated, player contracts will be inflated as well. So really, in the long run it doesn't really matter.
