Not a surprise, that's the first thing that went through my mind when Quick's deal was announced as 10 years.

Bernier to Toronto and Luongo to Florida.

Those are my predictions.

Well this will take teams focus off Luongo now...

It could be a long time till he gets traded, if at all. Although I bet the asking price for Bernier will be high to, and he's alot less proven. I don't think teams are sold on him as a number 1 yet.

I really don't know what LA can improve on. They could maybe get Kulemin+ for Bernier.

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

I highly doubt many teams who need a NOW goaltender will take a chance on Bernier.......lots of possibilities, but his numbers, thus far, have been less than spectacular.

Bernier to Toronto = Leafs miss playoffs again and Burke fired.

Not a proven starter.

Bernier may need some time to improve his numbers, but if he becomes a good goalie, then we essentially have another Luongo on our hands with two good starters. And we have Lack and Cannata already in our system so why not just call up Lack.

Bernier could end up in CBJ. They have a trading history with Carter and Johnson. CBJ needs a goalie and Bernier could be it.

He's still another 2 or 3 years away from being a starter.
I could see New Jersey or maybe even Edmonton making an offer.

They just got Bobrovsky, I don't think they are looking for a goalie anymore.

Bobrovsky is a backup, he couldn't be a starter on a stacked team like the Flyers when they desperately needed a goalie.

That could be a scenario. Brodeur still in ti for a few more years. That would give him the time to develop and take over when Marty retires.

Bernier seems like a guy who will turn out to be one of those guys who is a starter but not a top level one. The type of starter that ends up in the bottom third of starters. I think anyone that decides to take a chance on him is just looking to get by, not to make tending a strength of their team.

Wasn't Bernier supposed to be the next great NHL goalie? And Jonathan Quick was supposed to be a "stop gap" until he was ready? Funny how things turn out.

My guess would be Tampa Bay. They make a tandem of Linback/Bernier to battle for that #1 job for the next 2 years. Who ever posts more wins and better number gets to be #1. The other gets to be back-up or gets traded.

If I was Dean Lombardi I would trade Bernier to the Maple Leafs for a 2nd round draft pick or a young defenceman. Most of the Kings D - Core is getting pretty old.
