Great news! Anything under $4M for 3 or more years would be a bargain. Under 4.5M is probably market value. Anything over that might be an overpayment, but I don't care because in 2-3 years it could be a steal.

What is that? You chased our starter? Well I guess dangnabit we will have to put in our backup top ten league goalie. lol....

If they get this idea instilled in the two goalies and go with it, Vancouver will be unstoppable for the third season in a row, and yes, that means playoff success, as in you have to get in them to compete in them.

Agreed! I'm hoping longer term with just a little bit less, 3 year 3mill would be my dream, but that's a pipe dream.

If it's a one year deal it should be 2.5 max but if 2 or more that would be ideal.

I hope it's a 2 year contract for 7 million or a 5 year contract (gamble) which all but forces Luo to leave.

* Your pipedream better come to fruition ;)

Love it. Schneider held all the cards and it speaks volumes about him that he signed with us now when there are a huge number of teams out there that would kill for him come July 1st.

I know it is wishful thinking at this point, but imagine, having a one two punch, with Lu playing 41 and Schneids playing 41...if both manage to go 65%, and they CAN, we would have a season with 106 point base level. If one of them gets HOTTER still...then we climb higher. Just sayin, how could it hurt, from a pure hockey perspective, to have both? we would get very close to a perfect season, IMO. But yeah, I hear at every turn that this idea is not going to work, money, pride, rioters, lol damn you all.

Yeah, I totally agree. I dont think we'll ever have as dominant of a season as the last 2 when Luongo leaves. The thing that makes me want to trade one of them is that we just don't have a strong enough offense once the playoffs hit. We need a legit top 6 sniper/playmaker. No one on this team can snipe. Hawks and Oilers have us beat when it comes to that. We are a great hard working team, but Kesler can't dangle. It's one of the reasons why we're so bad in the shootout. I hope we can get some young top 6 player out of the luongo trade.

You are not getting full value of having 2 star goalies as opposed to, say, two star centers. Only one goalie is playing at a time all the time. It's like having 2 beautiful sports cars. You can only drive one at a time.
