Phil_314
hope Theodore comes back as part of the package of Lu. Lu for Matthias, Theodore and Ellerby? (Optimistically push for Versteeg instead of Matthias)
vwnuck
How can they say Lack did not do well his numbers were stellar best goalie in AHL Same numbers in playoff pressure games also Surprised Toronto hasn't made a pitch for him http://theahl.com/st...yer.php?id=3785
vwnuck
The cap is going up, they could both easily still be here at the beginning of next year. Then they make the move at the trade deadline
NuckNuckNucks
The bandwagoneer groupies will have Ginger love for maybe half a season and then they will eat him up and spit him out just like every other goalie we've had. Hell, if they can do it to the most successful goalie in Canuck history, ginger stands no chance. I feel bad for what he's going to endure. You can forget the Stanley Cup in this lifetime kids. Luongo was one of the key elements that gave us a chance.

Spoosh
The will probably sign someone to challenge for the spot. But Lack, rookie or not, should get the job.
Canada Hockey Place
Lack + maybe Mark Dekanich as a back-up back-up.
Bodee
Let's be clear. We are NOT heading into a Best Goalie and Best Backup situation if Lu leaves. ...............Our goalie standard even if Schneider IS as good as Lu is, over a whole season, will be weakened a lot by Lack (just now) and a good bit by going out and spending money for an experienced backup. This is why this move NEVER made any sense to me. Lu has the "broadest shoulders" (I genuinely think that's why Cory got on so well with him) in the league and would quite happily carry us through virtually a whole season. Cory has shown signs he is very good ..........but yet to prove it over a pressure cooker season...............could we expect Lack to carry the load if Cory is misfiring?.........I doubt it. So we weaken the whole scenario of ditching Lu and sticking with Cory, by spending money on someone who is likely to be reliable. Meanwhile (man, I see this happening) Lu goes to SC glory because someone puts a defence which actually defends in front of him.
DollarAndADream
Lack has been great in the games I've seen him, and he had big numbers in the AHL. Much like Schneider in the past. Either it's Lack, or a FA that MG signs.

kmotamed
Brodeur, why not, let's just be crazy and throw things out there since we're already assuming Cory is the starting goaltender next season! =S
Legend Killer
I think we'll keep both. Gillis isn't gonna take a lowball offer.
SukhKular
Whoever backs up Schneider (if that's what ends up happening) better be good. If they aren't, you'll see Cory getting more and more starts and he's hasn't proven that he can handle a Luongo-type workload. I hope he knows what he's getting himself into. ssir_78
He had a rough start to the year but settled in and was much better in the last half and playoffs. I'd say he'd benefit from another year in the AHL, but certainly capable as a backup at this point.

andynd
I would like to see Clime come up a bit older more of a back up goalie than Lack is, just let Lack grow with the Wolves.
