If all players were in their prime...still no.
If Bertuzzi, Allen and Auld were in their prime for current Luongo...may-no.

A Bertuzzi in prime >>>>>>>> Luongo in prime

I can't believe how short memories are!

He was better than any power forward in the league today.

A 97 point power forward man

They still got Jovo Strum and Sammuelson

To VAN: Jovo Strum Sammuelson

To FLA: Lou and some fans (they need them down there)

The only reverse trade I'd do is Kassian for Hodgson

:bigblush:

So would Buffalo - in a heartbeat - and they'd throw in a pick as well to sweeten the deal. Still, the answer would be hell no.

I love Bert, he was better than most guys today - but he was also the defintion of a floater when he was here. With his frame and aggressiveness, he could have been a serious two-way force. Instead he'd watch Morrison (an undersized center) struggle down low, while he sat at the bluelline and waited for an outlet pass. Used to drive me crazy. Teams figured out the WCE - forecheck the hell out of them - make Morrison fight tooth and nail behind his own net - they were too easy to pin in and slow down - unfortunately (imo) Nazzy and Bert never really developed into two-way players (until Bert arrived in Detroit that is)...
