clouts has gone hipster chic. its not cool to hate him anymore.

but that's good. he was a top 10-15 goaltender in his prime.

we all remember all those goals from the blue line.

Okay, Cloutier was no Patrick Roy or anything but comments like these make me wonder how many CDCers even watched the 2002 Playoffs. It was a s**t goal and he was 100% to blame for the goal and went on to not very well at all in the rest of the games. But people act like that goal lost the series for us. It didn't. But the team just gave up playing.

ON TOPIC: Would love to see Dan back as a goalie coach. Maybe he can teach the boys how to fight. Just jokes!
I'm saying Aladeen a lot because http://forum.canucks...dpost__10922428

I bet when Schneider turns 38, he will have broken all of Luongo's records.

I loved the passion the guy played with.

Too bad that goal just destroyed everything he had done.

Didn't he have some records until Luongo came along?

Doesn't that question say it all?

again, you are thinking about the goal from the red line, which was a 1 time thing. the numerous soft goals from the blueline happened regularly, before AND after the infamous red line shot. as for the red line goal, it killed all of our momentum and confidence, which destroyed the team, causing us to eventually lose out.

If you watch the interview video of Joe Cannata, they mention Dan Cloutier giving advice to the younger goalies.

Do you guys think he got a job with canucks or is this just for the prospect camp? The experience is there but we all remember all those goals from the blue line.

who needs a assistant goaltending coach

So let me get this straight:

2006
Canucks acquire Luongo
Canucks ship Cloutier to the Kings

2008
Kings tank, draft Drew Doughty 2nd overall

Fast forward to 2012
Doughty helps Kings capture first Stanley Cup
Luongo is becomes trade-bait
Cloutier once again becomes involved with Canucks

.......oh how the tables turn
