Luongo1 Posted July 1, 2012 Share Posted July 1, 2012 It appears as though Gillis is keeping the players that have good character but can't play the game and bypassing those that can play the game but come with a certain amount of baggage. I personally like Semin as his points don't lie and he was misused by the coaching staff. It is hardly his fault that people choose to ignore Ovechkin's performance in the playoffs as well. He is what we lacked, a pure goal scorer that can snipe a shot comming down the wing and help the pp. I know he lacks the defensive awareness, but him playing with Kesler on the 2nd would make less of liability, since Kesler is great defensively Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
