I wouldn't mind Jokinen actually. Not a fan of his, but I think him and Kesler and Booth would play well together.

Ya, Cause so many teams want Raymond

Former 25 goal scorer who is likely to have a bounce back season isn't that unrealistic for a third line center.

Third line centers aren't exactly that valuable. Especially for a team looking to get younger and faster.

Ebbett signed, I sincerely hope that isn't considered "job done" by MG. He hasn't replaced Ehrhoff or Hodgson since they left and these quality depth guys are needed at the 2 most important positions on the team - defence and center.

Mueller would be perfect for around 3 million and his size is attractive. With the remaining 3 million MG could sign a guy like Vandemeer or Colaicovo or Kubina for depth on the blueline too and we're playoff-ready.

Kipper & Iggy for Lou and everybody loves Raymond?

Mueller is a center?

Not saying he'll come here, but Olli Jokinen still being out there indicates he's waiting for another move to go through.

I'd be really happy with an Arnott signing!

We need to get a top six center via trade cause the best three solutions on the free agent market other than Jason Arnott are all gone.... i am really happy with the Garrison signing but i thought that we should have gone after a checking center earlier today.

Trading Raymond for a 3rd line center may be an option. We already have enough wingers in the bottom 6, and we clearly need to upgrade a top 6 winger spot.

Might be an option, but I'm not sure who's available.

Raymond + for Martin Hanzal.

wouldn't mind giving Mueller a 1 year deal.

The key difference is that Sopel can fill in for Seabrook and Campbell just fine. Bieksa, he is garbage so in that sense he is like the worst defenseman in the league.

When Cody (Hodgson) gets older, he might be better than Datsyuk.

Let's not push this guy (Kassian). He's still immature, and if he fails on the 2nd line it's because he isn't ready. Some guys really need years to develop, it's how well and how fast players adapt to the game. In my opinion, I'd rather have Horvat getting 2nd line minutes. He will start off on the 3rd line next season but I see him making the transition, being a great compliment to whoever plays his wings.

At this point, I don't see Kassian fitting in to any role other than a 3rd. If players like Kassian start getting 2nd line minutes then we just stay inconsistent as a team.

I agree that he is a real possibility, but I'd wait on him - his 4.2 million cap hit could get in the way of making a run at Doan - unless we don't take salary back in the Luongo deal (aside from Theodore), which is what I'd prefer anyhow (Bjugstad and Petrovic).

But a reasonable deal for Dubinsky could be nice - a guy who can score 20 goals and throw 200 hits is always welcome.

IF Tor was a possibility, I would certainly ask for Bozak in the deal. Good faceoffs, decent production (on TOR), play-making ability and VERY cap friendly. That would allow us to still take a run at Doan etc.

I bet the structured deal would be something like:

Luongo +(nothing too crazy)

for Bozak, Colbourne, Komisarek

....obviously Komi is in there as a salary dump

Not sure if Gillis really would take the risk though considering how much of an injury-prone he really is. Even if it's just a "project". I think he wants safer options that has a good chance of staying healthy, something he seems to value high in players

Really? Then why is David Booth here? 2 concussions in one year is a concern for sure.

I'm saying go with Arnott; he's gritty and has some skill left; a good character player. Filling the entire Canucks dressing room with Phosgene gas would be a better idea than signing Jokinen and Wellwood wouldn't sign here again if we were the last team on earth.

Also agree. Arnott would fit nicely with this team. Would be able to move up and down lineup and contribute on the 2nd PP unit. I expect Stl to resign him though.

Makes entirely zero sense.

Boston has Rask, who they have groomed for his chance at being the starter. They don't need to give up a bunch of assets for something they don't need.
