Nice job. I got to see some of those highlights live. I like the slappers that are added in here - Bure could not only deke like nobody's business, but had such a bomb of a shot. I don't think I've ever seen another Canuck who loved to score so much.

Really, which goalies were being made to look ridiculous during the first few years?

Just think, if his knees held up he could have still been terrorizing defence man and goaltenders alike to this day.
And if the Canucks didn't treat him like garbage, he could have been doing it in a Canuck jersey.

Loved all the goals where he was just going so fast he fell because he couldn't slam on the brakes hard enough.

By far the most talented Canuck ever. Too bad he was stuck in the Dead Puck era... in today's NHL he woulda put up 70-80 goals, not 60.

Frickin awesome. Makes me miss those days sooo much. Even though I don't like that skate jersey that much, it reminds me of him and Linden, and I wouldn't mind if they brought it back even for just a day.

The most dangerous offensive predator ever

A reckless, high octane, SOB

Would love to see him throw that elbow at full speed in Dustin Brown's big fat lips.

Then school Doughty and absolutely dominate and humiliate Jon Quick.

Maybe in the last half of his career, but do the early 90's qualify as Dead Puck era? I feel like scoring was still pretty rampant when he had his 60-goal seasons.

At any rate, ridiculous talent.. Not to mention his *ahem* triple deke..

(Sorry.)

It really is a shame that Bure got hurt, if he was healthy he'd have made it into the new era NHL and even as an older player I think without the obstruction he would've been impossible to defend.

I miss watching him play (no matter what jersey he was wearing)

Agreed.

You know there are a lot of guys in the HHOF that while they deserve to be there, wouldn't be nearly as impressive in the much more competitive league we have now. Bure is one of very, VERY few who are not in that category. I can't think of anyone else who would be so hard to defend against if they were thrown into today's league in their prime.

Sometimes I can't even believe how amazing he was. The ease in which he would dangle around the players. That one play in that video near the end where he undresses basically all the Devils and gets by the goalie like nothing. Jesus.
