Lu/Schneids would be the centre piece I imagine, implying the Canucks are even Nash's desired destination.

Also starting to doubt the sanity of Eklund...

One key word tells me this is a complete lie and Eklund is pulling this out of his rear.

"Impatient."

Mike Gillis spent five months pursuing Mats Sundin. He has preached patience throughout the Luongo negotiations. One day into free agency, he is impatient with Zach Parise? Parise has already stated he will decide tomorrow at noon. Surely, Canucks management can wait overnight -- has anybody ever heard of sleep?

Shove it, Eklund.

If a Canuck goalie goes to Columbus it's Schneider. Not happening.

He actually figures the Canucks have a shot at Parise? Lol

1. Luongo wouldn't waive to go to Columbus.
2. Taking on a 7.8 cap hit makes little to no sense.
3. This would leave us with little room to re-sign Burrows & Edler.
4. The Rangers have more assets to trade than us.

* I like Nash, but the timing isn't right.

Oh god no, ever since he said Malkin to Toronto a few years ago I realized he's probably lost his mind or his 'sources' don't actually have connections in the NHL.

The maximum I'd give for Nash is Raymond, Ballard, Tanev, and 2 1st round picks.

My sources are telling me that the Canucks aren't in the Nash sweepstakes and the asking price for Parise is a little too high, my sources also confirmed that I had a little too much to drink yet I have more creditibility then Ekland.

A. Nash won't waive his NTC to come here.

B. We wouldnt get him without trading Schneider or else trading Luongo and alot of other big pieces.

C. Eklund is just an idiot in general, someone should find him and destroy his computer.

If you like looking at statistics to determine who's better, you're just a casual fan.

2.41 season GAA isn't very impressive. Let's not get into playoffs and his SV%.

Cory Schneider is the next Patrick Roy.

With all due respect though I have been saying Gillis is shopping both goalies. To get maximum value and make it look like other teams could be in on Luongo. That would get Florida going hopefully. If not well it may have to be Schneiderman I'm afraid.

Hey news I'll upgrade to yam fries on that order, thanks.

Never happening, but Schneider for Nash straight up would be sweet, but they'd have to throw in a lot more. Star goalie is far more important to a team's success than a 40 goal scorer. Make them throw in a defenceman for depth and then we're talking.

It would likely take something Schneider. Ballard, Raymond, Jensen, and a 1st.

Not worth it IMO. And I doubt Gillis would sign Schneider in good faith like that and then turn around and trade him.
