Nicklasjensen46
Im sure Gillis is trying to pry Gunbranson or Huberdeau. Id be happy with versteeg tho. Booth-kesler-Versteeg. Looks good to me.

bossram
Good luck with that. Tallon is not going to trade Versteeg. He was a 1st liner for Florida. And they don't even need Luongo. If he's going to Florida it will be for a less-than-stellar return.

bigshooter
Versteeg, Ellerby, 6th rounder for Lu. Get it done. Add Jokinen via free agency and I'll be happy.
Mighty Walrus
I don't think there wil be any sort of a blockbuster deal with Florida. Florida does not need luongo that bad, unlike torontos situation. If we could get luongo for bjugstad straight up I would do it. I would maybe try to get Florida to add a 2nd or a 3rd, but that is pushing it. Truman
Theodore has a NTC though only one year left on his deal. I dunno if he'd be down with moving. Panthers problem last year was not goaltending or the defense. Scoring is the Panthers biggest need.
Dr. Omda
There is no need for Versteeg if we can sign (hopefully) Shane Doan to play on our 2nd line. Doan brings physicality that the Canucks need, more leadership, and can be a mentor to Kassian (Kassian could play like a Shane Doan in a few years). The Luongo trade to Florida would have to include a 3rd line center (Goc), a decent prospect and a good draft pick (1st or 2nd) OR a 3rd line center and an amazing prospect. thehamburglar
Undervalue Luongo much? Terrible in my opinion. Get some young great talent if we're trading best goaltender we've ever had.

ThaBestPlaceOnEarth
It doesn't make sense for Florida to take Lu because they have Markstrom coming up, they'd be in exactly the same position we are now in a season or two. Face it, Luongo is going nowhere. Nobody will pay Gillis' price and Gillis won't lower it to what anyone would be willing/able to pay. Luongo will still be on the team after the lockout.
