havent watched him recently but he was great on the giants. has he been a bit of a flop in the NHL?

only 25
center, 1.85 mil UFA

seems like a good depth signing - can see how he does in the lineup while Kes is out.

I was kinda hoping he would be this years Ebbett (13th forward who can fill in top 6 when needed)

Brule is money. I think he scored 17 goals a few years ago on the oilers as a second/ third line player. He would be an awesome depth player that can rip it up on the second pp. (This is all off the top of my head, not percise facts).

If it came for no more than 1 mil and we didn't get anything center-wise in a Luongo deal, then why not? ;)

Meh, I'd take him if he came cheap but we got Ebbett, Schroeder, and Kassian as call-ups if were injured up front.

Sign for up to 1.25 million. Solid depth player can fill in anywhere on the line up, he looked pretty good with Phoenix last year.

Drafted by Columbus, they rushed him and screwed his development. Didn't progress much in Edmonton. He's showed some potential. Wouldn't mind a signing if under 1 million. Might be able to stick him on the 3rd line.

With the CBJ development history, I feel bad for Ryan Murray.

Good player, but like everything they seem to do in Columbus they screwed up his development by rushing him.

I would love to see him back in Vancouver, but I dont see a spot for him unless he goes for a 2 way

So you have not watched him recently, but you know he is a ufa and his salary. Everyone knows he has been a bust, just type it into google and bam, your own question anwser. Moron proof!

Brule is too small. Can't see him playing in our top 6, not big enought for the bottom 6. If we need a depth player I'd rather give the spot to Shroeder.

Brule?

The guy has absolutely no form why would we go for him when we could get 2 at least high scoring seasons from Mike Knuble for only $150,000 more.

Do we want a SC or not?..........Signing the likes of Brule will see us back in the dark ages.

That was over 8 years ago bud, get over it. besides, dont you think he would mature after being tossed around a few nhl clubs and ahl clubs?

I think he would love to come home, he played his heart out as a giant and he might rediscover that form in a familiar setting

That doesnt make sense, if hes signed to play a minimal role and doesnt work out, how will that bring us into the dark ages? Vigneault and Co have been known to get rid of players who cant help the team win. And its likely it would be a 1yr contract anyways.

I think when he says dark ages he'a refering to when Wellwood centered our third line. Those were dark times ...

Depending on price I think he's worth a 1 year contract.
