At best he has an amazing off-season and training camp and can make the team as a 8th defenseman, as he's had SOME NHL experience. Worse comes to worse the guy has proven he can rip up the AHL. 65 points in his past 122 AHL games. A pretty solid frame at 6'1/210-215 pounds. Small sample sizes, but his underlying numbers last yr were a disaster - pure disaster. He does not fit in the 'prototypical' bottom pairing d-man in AV's system.
