How do you have a team with a minor league affiliate if you aren't allowed to sign players to the team, huh? How is it that every ???? time someone signs a smaller deal, there's some retard talking about stanley cups and parades?!? A team can't consist of 24 Shea's and Gary's ffs! I seem to have mentioned in several posts that all we're gonna see from Gillis is more AHL signings like last year. All we're gonna have left in UFA is Semin...4.5 per year for 2 years I'm still good with that! NO MORE AHL SIGNINGS...THEY WON'T HELP US GILLIS!!! Maybe he can confirm whether or not their entire organization was on some sortof PED's for the playoffs. Hell, even Darryl Sutter had dilated pupils for it all. Although it's hard to tell. Unless MG thinks that he has NHL upside (which definitely could given his age and growth), why waste a contract when we are always at the limit? avelanch Posted July 5, 2012 Share Posted July 5, 2012 It's important to fill the farm team but you can't throw a rock without hitting a player who will likely only ever play in the AHL, so taking time to sign those type of players while free agents that are actually in demand get signed elsewhere does make people feel like it was time that would have been better spent elsewhere.
