Unpredictables
Hate to burst your bubble but I know for a fact MG / and the Canucks want him.
Italia2006
I would be pretty shocked if Doan signs here. LA seems more likely.
G-52
Which is pretty sad considering Gillis has said he wanted to get younger and bigger, so basically Gillis is still throwing out BS to the public again. If this is really true Gillis really should take his own advice and look for younger and bigger like Rick Nash instead of Doan. Doan 6'2, 35 years old, Nash 6'4, 28 years old. Doan will be Messier 2. Ṣpiderman
We aren't getting Doan. More likely to be in Chicago/La/Pitts
UMB
So Semin has a crapty personality and worth ethic. It doesn't deny the fact that the talent is there. In our last 12 playoff games we have only scored 16 goals. Our defense and goaltending is good, so it doesn't matter much if Semin doesn't backcheck. What matters is we seem to have trouble putting the puck in the net and Semin can do just that.
Italia2006
I hate to say it but Gillis seems to get guys he REALLY wants. When I say really I mean really not Schultz. Schultz was it would be nice but not worth offering him the world for a guy that has never proven himself. REALLY wants means, Sundin, Hamhuis and Garrison. So if he REALLY wants Doan, he'll get him at a reasonable price.

Tortorella's Rant
If Shane actually cares about winning and not just playing for a paycheque, he should seriously be considering Vancouver.
Ray Canuck
BTW an answer may about ownership/lease etc may not come about until the 16th. Seems to be some confusion and legal challenges regarding the date the petition needs to be handed in by. Some say the 9th others the 16th. Don't expect an early resolution or light shed on where Doan may sign. Another possibility may be backroom dealings of what might happen should the bid for the lease fail, the NHL may have a backup plan. Maybe the Jamieson group has already made a deal with Bettman to move the team to X-city and maybe Doan would stay in that event... Doan as a Canuck is a LONG SHOT IMO

Raiun
I'd love it if we got Doan, really think he's the exact kind of player we need right now. Sure he's a bit older, but he's a proven player and he hasn't slowed down a lot or anything. Could easily see him being a piece that puts us over the top.
