ButterBean
Hopefully being a Canadian contender can sway his decision into coming here.
Salmonberries
I'd love to have him, but I think he'll try to stay in the sun belt if he has to leave Phoenix.
Smyl ( :
3 way deal..whatever assets Luongo gets, sent to Phoenix for Doan and add a defensive prospect from our farm or a goalie prospect..(but not Lack)

70seven
why do people keep proposing trades for free agents?
Line Juggler
The chances of Doan in Vancouver are slim and none. I would love him on our team for the next 2 or 3 years at 5 million a pop, but it is most likeley he'll remain in Phoenix. If he does sign somewhere else, we'd have to compete with 10 or 20 teams to get him - good luck.
hsedin33
I honestly see him in a Canucks Jersey. Why Doan chooses Canucks: - He would fit in a top 6 role along side the Sedins or Kesler. - He knows the team is serious about wanting to win a cup and have a good shot - He would play an important part of the process - We have a mutual distaste for LA I doubt money will be the key factor of where he decides to go, hes not like Ehrhoff. He will be given a fair salary no matter where he goes.

thecoolstuff
Doan would be a perfect fit, grit, leadership, scoring, right wing! Why would he waste his talent away in the desert is beyond me.
Italia2006
I wonder if Shane Doan asked Raffi Torres "how's the Vancouver Canucks organization" and what would he say? Would he help us out or say negative stuff about us? You would think he would say nothing but good thing, especially after we helped him out on getting a pay raise. Italia2006
Hockeyy Insiderr @HockeyyInsiderr As of right now, hearing IF Doan doesn't resign with Phoenix his #1 choice would be to play in Vancouver. #CONFIRMED #Canucks This guy says writes this. Do we believe him? He writes a lot of nonsense but I would love to believe it.

Italia2006
He would be the best old guy we've ever signed. Sundin and Messier are the comparables. I think Doan could be a big piece and some of the heart we're missing. You can never go wrong with a good old Canadian kid or man.
