As for the most exciting.... any hockey game not involving the Flames (unless they're getting whooped by the canucks )

I can watch baseball, but usually only for a few innings at a time.
Love to golf, but can't stand watching it.
Outside of hockey, rugby and water polo are probably the most exciting to watch.
I assume though that most people unfamiliar with the rules of those 2 sports wouldn't find it too entertaining.

So, if there are no home town "hero's" to watch then.........
in the order you listed.
Basketball, tennis, golf, curling, cycling, water sports, track and field and dance.

I'll take curling over baseball any day.

Baseball and Soccer are too strategic for most people to comprehend. They only want to see constant goals and hits etc. But a well played Baseball game is some of the best drama in sports.
Billiards and Bowling are a couple that should probably be on the list. TSN plays them enough to be considered sports. Although I don't consider anything a sport if you can do it with a smoke in your mouth and a beer in your hand which may eliminate bowling.

Golf is by far the worst to watch. Let's watch a guy hit a ball, find it, then hit it again! As George Carlin would say.

Also loved Dan Schulman's call on David Freese's HR in the WS. You can hear it at the start of Sekeres and Blake.
