heart_of_a_canuck
Despite signing Jason Garrison to fill the blue line hole for Salo, I think the canucks still need more offense. Everyone is talking about how we should try to get Rick Nash or Alexander Semin, but I think Bobby Ryan is the better choice because: 1) less salary $5.1 mill 2) consistency- 30+ goals and 55+ points in the last 4 seasons, 3) young and talented hardworker It would be awesome to see Ryan play with sedins or even with kesler's line. What do you guys think, is there any chance of Bobby Ryan coming to Vancouver??
falcon
Ducks want a second line center behind Getzlaf, something we don't have so it's not happening. Both Ryan and Nash would cost an arm and leg to acquire.
ArtsVandalay
Wrong forum broski. I know it's your first post, don't sweat it; everyone gets one.
Smashian Kassian
No there isn't. We aren't in a position to tear out team apart (or atleast deal some big pieces away). And Gillis won't do it.
ButterBean
Very slim chance we get him. Anaheim will look for a 2nd line center and maybe another really good winger or defenseman/prospect.
NightHawkSniper
We could've gave them Schultz back.
heart_of_a_canuck
Ah man...maybe we should have waited a bit. I bet we could have traded Hodgson plus somebody else like Rome for Bobby Ryan.

smokes
I really don't see too many assets the Canucks can give to get an impact player, Luongo included.
GoodCanadianKideh
If Gillis couldn't be bothered dealing with Hodgson's dad, I doubt he'd want to willingly bring in Bobby's dad....
mpt
We could always land the pieces Anaheim would want with the Luongo trade.

gizmo2337
Ducks need a legit second line center in this trade. All we have to trade is Kesler, which is not happening. I'd consider Kesler for Getzlaf perhaps, but why would either team do it?

defenceman
kesler for ryan straight up. Tired of the diving, tired of the talk. It's all he;s got right now. that and a damn broken hip/shoulder whatever.

komodo1970
Ryan would obviously be a sweet pick up but opportunity may not be there. It is said that they are looking for a second line center. That is one area in which we are lacking depth. We have our centers but none we can spare. The only way one becomes available is if a prospect like Schroeder comes up during Keslers injury and shows himself well. Then the problem becomes, which one to deal. Kesler has a no trade clause, so the choice may not be there at all. Another problem becomes; Do they want an undersized center in return? Nope, the more I think about it, the less likely a deal seems possible, unless they are willing to deal in an area we do have depth.
