How many reps should we be doing per set...

Do each set till failure. Record how many reps you did.

i'm going to be doing some weight lifting swell so i might not participate every single day, but will get some form of exercise. Some of my tips from personal training:
-Make sure you get at least 8 hours of sleep cuz when your sleeping is the most optimum time your body burns fats and produces muscle.
-If your looking to gain muscle mass, make sure you get in a good dose of protein, and the best way is through foods, but an alternative is a protein shake **WARNING** be clear of what your buying when your spending money on protein shakes, some companies rip you off by false advertising. I personally use "gold standard 100% whey protein." one of the purest forms of proteins out there.
-go till failure on body weight exercises you gotta push yourself to make gains
~good luck to all :)

I'm gonna be doing something similar;Pkane workout and cardio in the morning and heavy lifting at the gym at night.

Also I suggest that you switch from Gold standard whey to isoflex. Despite being a lot more expensive, it seems to work better. Plus isoflex has no cholesterol which is great! Isoflex is an isolate protein powder, which means it is a more pure form of whey protien. Better ingredients, easier mixibility, and better taste! The only downfall is the price.

Good luck to you and everyone in this regimen, looking forward to seeing some loss in fat and lean muscle gains!

I'd like to get into this too. My wife and I have already lost a little over 30 pounds each since February just from changing our food, intake and when. Eating smaller portions every 2 to 3 hours helped a lot since it's better for metabolism.

I'm 6'2" 235 lbs and want to lose another 30 pounds by November.

I have the p90x dvds so no worries about sending me those files.

Meal timing is largely irrelevant, you lost weight because you ate less calories, please don't come in saying something is better than something when in the end it was a caloric deficit.

What do I do for squats then if I have no machine? Just do it until I basicly can't do it under my own strength anymore?

There are a number of variations you can do with bodyweight squats...use a small stool or small box and set it a little behind you between your legs so when you squat you go down parallel or even just below parallel...If you focus on proper form and lowering your self in 2-4 seconds then exploding up, you will without a doubt feel them the next day. You can also do jump squats if you have no weights.

The picture shows a machine because I couldn't find an image for bodyweight squats.

Just do those for a bit, nice slow controlled motion will make it harder. 1 second down, 1 second up.

Jump squats are good too, those are killer.

Are you kidding me? They're one of the funnest exercises in this workout!

Also for guys who want to work the calves a bit more, land on your tiptoes, adds more pressure to your calves. For the inside calve, point your toes against each other and for the outside calves point em away from each other, and if you want a bit of both point them straight.

This exercise was definately fun, I even wore a weight vest with the squats!

Nice tip on the calves. They are a hard muscle to train in terms of adding size.

Also by brutal, I think Caboose means they work the legs really well.

I partake in an Atkin's diet. Change in diet helped me a great deal. That alone can make you lose about 10 lbs. within 5 days. I tried, with absolutely no junk food, no fat-related food, whatsoever.

Lol you should see the drop off in pushups. I could do 30, then its like 10 after that as my arms are about to break haha.

I've seen people (like significantly overweight people) lose a ton of weight by just changing their diet.

Are you going to post what types of foods to eat and avoid?

I'm sure everyone has an idea such as junk food, fats (not all), and stuff like that.

Could you suggest things to eat for lunch and dinner? For weight loss that is.
I have searched things up, everyone says different things, but you seem to know your stuff.

Thanks.

Yeah, please.

I had big drops, too but kept pushing myself.
