burrows101
If gillis would do the Lecavalier for Louie deal at least we would get a super star back.... hes still good and would look pretty crazy on a line with Kesler and Booth... what did Gillis say hes want a big playmaker, well here he is.... Little too much money, but who cares when u win the cup.... do the deal if they take Ballard too???
Ralph.
Pretty sure the Lightning are going to try out Lindback first.
Smashian Kassian
... He's not the player he was. he's probably only a 50-60 point guy now. I would rather get some pieces we need and then sign Mueller or Doan. Plus I don't think TBL has much interest if any.

Kazmanian Devil
I doubt Lecavalier would waive his NTC to go to Vancouver.
Caboose
10 million a year for the next 5 years. And people complain about Luongo's contract.

bluesman60
No....and don't apply for a GM job anywhere! Why I wouldn't sign him.......underachiever, overpaid and really hasn't lived up to his potential. We need a guy like Doan who pours his heart and soul out every shift....that is the type of player that can get you closer to a cup. Look at how Brown owned every team that LA played....a Doan or Brown is the missing piece. If we were going to spend for the sake of spending....I would far sooner have Ryan or Nash. Ask yourself, is Laclavier better than Parise? Parise gets $7.2M and Laclavier gets $7.5M....now does it still seem like a smart move to sign Laclavier? 7thMan
Lecavalier also has a NTC. He's happy in Tampa and doesn't want to be moved. And do you really want his 7.7 bagillion dollar cap hit for the rest of eternity (I think it ends in 2020 or something).

-Vintage Canuck-
Nah. Not just his salary but his contribution to the team. Since his 108 point season during 06/07 season his point total has been decreasing year by year.
