You should re run this poll again and take out Trevor Linden and ask "who is the 2nd best captain in Canucks history?"

Stan the man Smyl did as much for this team and organization as any other man including Trevor Linden. He took us to our first Cup, worked harder than anyone else out there and even wore those crazy halloween colored V jerseys...I think that the contest should be a lot closer between Linden and Smyl...(though Nazzy was my favorite)

Because it should be posted in any topic mentioning Messier....

Trevor Linden will always be the best captain. Not only did he take this team to the finals, he showed up and played one of his greatest games in Game 7. His 2 goals weren't enough, but I'll always remember the heart, determination and skill he brought to that game when we his hurt and just exhausted from the run they had.

By the way learn how to spell SHIRIKOV who is this shirakov

Amazingly on his first shift Kassian would have had a breakaway if Kesler knew how to pass. And he still got switched with Weiss. And note it is "Weiss" not "Wise".

Glad to see Smyl given some thought because he, in my mind is second only to Linden as Canuck's greatest captain (Leader)
