[Report] Shane Doan's agent said the Canucks are one of the teams.

Give what a break? If we had signed two players instead have one, we might have been able to match them.

Hence the Sundin signing was a failure. Get over it. We don't bring players in to mentor grown men, we bring them in to help us win a cup.

Yea, because we brought in Ehrhoff the year after that....

That gave us an elite powerplay that the Sedins and Kesler were able to rack up the majority of their points on.

If Sundin had worked out, and came to training camp like MG hoped, then he may have made the difference in those playoffs.

We did not get the player that had played even the previous season.

He was a failed project.

Third in the division because the rest of their division was so average during the regular season. They benefited from a weak division just like the Canucks did. And 97 points for a 3rd seed is nothing to brag about.

The fact is, they owe their entire season to Mike Smith, period. They just had a great run with a great goaltender, much like the Canucks of 06/07.

Best defense in the conference? Really? I hope you're joking. Chicago, Detroit, LA, Nashville, Vancouver, and San Jose all have better D-cores. Really not sure what you're talking about.

And they just let go of Ray Whitney and Adrian Aucoin, who were both huge parts of their team, not only for their veteran leadership, but the 77 points that Whitney put up this season. As it stands right now, they're a much worse team then they were last season. Plus LA and San Jose, and even Dallas will be much better teams next season. So I wouldn't expect another Cinderella run from them.

The referendum was shot down - so all that is left is for the NHL and the potential owner to settle other details. The Yotes are staying and it looks like the ownership issue is getting done.

So you can expect Doan in one of two places the yotes cause of the history or a team that offers him a sick contract like the Canes. You can rule out us cause we are not going to throw silly money at him nor length. He would be a great addition for sure.

Keith Yandle, Zbynek Michalek, Rusty Klesla, Derek Morris, OEL, and Michal Rozival say hi. Now that Nashville lost Suter, they have the best defense in the West. All of those players are top-4 guys. I would take their D-men over ours in a HEARTBEAT!

You got your OFD's with Yandle and OEL and your DFD's with Klesla, Morris and Rozival. Perfect balance.

San Jose only really have an aging Dan Boyle, an overpaid Burns and umm.... Marc Edward Vlasic.... I guess LMFAO.

The Canuck are close, but the Coyotes get the edge because we only really have one DFD with Hamhuis. The rest couldn't defend if their lives depended on it.

Btw, you can also say the Canucks made the playoffs this year because of our goaltending because we were mediocre the whole year and the Schneids and Luongo had to bail us out numerous occasions. We're no better than Phoenix and you can't prove otherwise (regular season success means nothing).
