Unless he decides to give it up of his own volition without any pressure from outside sources, Henrik should, and will, remain captain of this team. This happened once before, remember? By giving the Captaincy to Shane Doan it might benefit the team because it would put less pressure on Henrik. This means he could focus on scoring. Everyone knows Henrik isn't the most vocal leader. Shane Doan is Canadian and I kind of compare him to Trevor Linden. A player who was born to lead a team. If we get Doan I want him to become our new Captain. Henrik has been arguably the best Canuck for years now and regardless if he is a vocal leader or not he will keep the C, Doan would lead with or without a letter on his chest. Datsyukian Posted July 10, 2012 Share Posted July 10, 2012 One thing that people will have against a guy like Hank being a captain is how he is not usually a guy that is going to ignite the team with a big hit, blocked shot, or a big back check. Doan is one of those guys, so I see why some people could consider the option of him taking over leadership.
