avelanch Posted July 12, 2012 Share Posted July 12, 2012 I don't even care if he gets unbanned but there's a few things that needs to be corrected. First off, he never created that false trade thread. He posted a status update. The thread was made by another person who believed what Kanucks25 said was true. Secondly, how does he bypass suspension if the account Kanucks25 was suspended? One cannot simply just change their IP to bypass the banned account. The account is locked. The only way to bypass via proxy is by making a new account. If he did that, why would he have people help him post in the VHL Fantasy Hockey thread? Even if he proxied, there's no evidence that the IP can be traced back towards him. Only assumptions can be made. Anyways, that's all I'm going to say. Link to comment

I would love to know. It is an IP ban now, but it doesn't matter. There are many ways around IP bans. Is elementary already out? Link to comment

Nowhere in the rules does it say that I cannot make a status update about a rumor I heard. Remember, I did not make a rumor thread. Then, while suspended, I was banned for trying to use a proxy to bypass the suspension. To be honest, I'm thoroughly perplexed by this accusation: I was suspended in February and didn't even know how to use a proxy until I made a new account in late April (the only way I can explain this is that I've logged into my account at a friend's house, so two or more IP Addresses match my username, but surely I'm not the only one who has done this). For 2 months after I was banned, I exchanged e-mails with Admin2 to share my side of the story. Unfortunately, no progress was made; I still don't know what rule I broke to deserve a suspension and no details on the alleged "proxy" I "used". Eventually I gave up and decided to make a new account to try to contact the CDC Mod team directly; exchanging e-mails with a middle-man became ridiculously tedious and in the end, totally ineffective. I never tried to hide that it was me... heck, I used the same name / signature / avatar every time and admit it was me in several posts, it wasn't a secret. Making these new accounts 2-3 months after the original suspension + ban was the only rule I broke, and it was just in an effort to try to communicate with the mods. It's been 5 months now and still no direct contact with Stealth or Temp Peck. I wasn't a troll like Wilboy, I didn't post porn like Arctic Monkeys and I wasn't a complete ass-clown like Royal Flush (who once messaged me on MSN threatening to come to my house with his friends and beat me up using the many martial arts he had mastered... true story).
