B-town Canuck
Yes, I searched. He's had some good years and has been traded a few times, but we could probably sign him for a little more than Raymond. This is only if Mayray gets packaged with Luongo or other circumstances. He is a 6'3 - 210 pound left winger. Raymond is a 6'0 - 185 pound left winger. Gillis wants size and skill. Wolski has had some good years and had some injury and performance problems, but so has Raymond. I think Wolski would be a better fit, if possible. Kazmanian Devil
He sucks, you do not want him. Bad defensively and doesn't use his size at all. As a Panthers fan, I know.
canuck_trevor16
He is someone MG should target........he far more skilled than Raymond, and a year young too

Ossi Vaananen
Wojtek walked from FLA, no qualifying offer or arbitration. We can get him as a UFA for free right now, but realistically he's a 13th forward on this team, his best function being the shootout.
canucklehead44
He is a pretty good passer and can play centre, plus he is skilled in shootouts. He would be another Wellwood-esque sort of pick-up. Low/medium risk with 40-50 point upside. He also put up 5 points in 6 playoff games. If we sign him for a 1 year/1.5 million dollar contract and he sucks after 25 games we can either trade him for a cheaper plug/crappy prospect/7th round pick or bury him in the minors. The risks: 1. He pushes a young guy out of an audition 2. He costs us a couple of games due to poor defensive ability 3. He costs the team 1.5 million to bury in the minors The rewards 1. He adequately fills the second line C gap 2. He provides skill, size, and playmaking ability alongside Kesler and Booth on the second line 3. He puts up between 45-70 points 4. Wins us a couple games in the shootout

Line Juggler
We actually have a lot of depth at the forward positions. What we need is a top 6 guy. I'd prefer to pick up Doan for a reasonable price or see what Gillis can get back for Luongo.

B-town Canuck
You mean you search Canucks Talk for a player we don't have on our team and found nothing? Not surprising. Had you searched Proposals and Armchair GMing, you might have found a few threads, however.
Phil_314
is he worth taking over Ebbett for the 13th man, even? For a small guy Andrew's pretty effective, whereas Wojtek has underachieved. of course, with Raymond in the roster still, Mason could be the one to go. oldnews
Raymond or no Raymond the Canucks don't need another left winger - Daniel, Burrows, Booth, Higgins - all natural left wingers - add Malhotra playing left wing on the fourth line and the team is already bottlenecked with left wings. The Canucks have been playing a pair or them on the right (Burrows and Raymond) now for a couple seasons. We added Kassian (brilliant move IMO) and drafted Jensen because of this imbalance - Doan would be epic in terms of balancing the team, but regardless, Wolski is not a fit. TOMapleLaughs
I remember when he was supposed to be the Avs' new star forward. Along with Paul Stastny. Then it was Duchene. Now it's Landeskog. And it goes on... and on... The Avs are a sad, pathetic shell of their former selves. Good to see.
