Smashian Kassian
You know Zherdev isnt even in the league anymore right? He was a big time flop. He should be on any list related to that draf other than bust. Crazy stat about that draft. 7 9th rd picks have NHL careers, and some pretty decent ones... Tanner Glass, Brian Elliot among others. ManUtd
Except Bergeron or Vanek, all those players played for Canada and the US during the Olympics 2011 and 2012 seem like totally lame years compared to 2003 and 2005 (Crosby, Pouliot, Price, Setoguchi, Bourdon, Kopitar, Rask, Parent, Oshie)
Super_Canuck
2003 was the best draft ever. Wish the Canucks had picked Corey perry and Shea webber. How different would this teams identity be then?

nucklehead2
I was just noticing that the draft year of 2003 was a pretty good year, as most players first round went on to at least do something in the NHL So I'm just wondering, if the draft would to be re-done with knowing what the players would turn into, which order do you think they would have gone in? Do you think Ryan Kesler still would go 23rd or earlier or later. I'm just bored and thought it would be interesting to see. http://canucks.nhl.c...und=1&year=2003 later drafties that I thought might be higher Loui Erikson Patrice Bergeron Matt Carle Shea Weber Maxim Lapierre ( I know he wouldnt be in the top but I love Lappy) David Backes Jimmy Howard Dustin Byfuglien Brian Elliott My top 10 Eric Staal Shea Weber Zach Parise Jimmy Howard Ryan Getzlaf Ryan Suter Correy Perry Patrice Bergeron Brent Seabrook Thomas Vanek

Justdean10
I agree very deep draft year, and the lockout helped with players being able to develop more. but how is mike Richards not in your top 10??
HockeyHobo73
The year the Sedins got drafted was the best by far.... We got them, and everyone else got shafted...

Doanuts
I think I have them written down here somewhere, let me have a look... C'mon man, that's what the internet is for, it'd take all of 5 seconds to go to Google and find the wiki page for all the draft years.
Justdean10
Well it`s your list but I would say take off Howard because he hasnt proven as much in the nhl as Richards and then after him Bergeron or Vanek.
