Solution for Mason Raymond?

I hope you're being sarcastic. Rinne is already a better goalie than Luongo.

Or Trade Raymond for a 7th rounder....

i'd rather take my chances on a 7th rounder then Raymond ANYDAY.

I think it's funny how everyone thinks we are getting Doan.. At least wait until he signs a contract before putting him into the line up! lol

Well if anyone remembers... When Malhotra first injured himself Raymond did indeed center the third line, and did not bad for a winger. His speed used to generate takeaways was much more effective than his offensive game at the time.

Wow, I really really hate it how everyone is so rough on Raymond. I think they forgot about how great he looked before last year when he was coming back from a career threatening injury... some canucks fans discust me...

Next season he WILL come back and hopefully be able to shut everyone on here the heck up!

Would work out great, I think it really would benefit him.

If he was the third line centre of the Chicago Wolves.

How about trading him for a bag of pucks and some hockey tape?

And lol @ a couple years ago. I wouldn't say Raymond is the fastest skater on our team anymore. It's probably Ballard or Hansen.

solution for Raymond is pie pie. someone else brought this concept up in another thread - it's a pie made of little pies inside. a great idea really. if it has blueberry, strawberry-rhubarb, pumpkin, cherry pies all inside, I imagine all that good stuff will heal Raymond up even faster, and he'll be "back" to being an outstanding two-way player.

Do you think the management in Nashville are complete morons?

I'll talk to Disney on Ice and see if they're looking for another skater. If not, I could always enroll him in figure skating at the nearest public rink. That could help.

Why not just sign Wellwood for 3rd line center then? He is a step ahead of everyone else on that front.

Get him a little green outfit and a little green hat with a red feather and he can star in "The Legend of Zelda On Ice"!

What in the world are you talking about? Raymond + Ballard + 2013 1st is exactly the kind of package I'd be looking for if I were Nashville. Raymond is a potential captain for the Preds. He can provide the grit, leadership and puck-posession they so desperately need, and Ballard can throw hip-checks and be a very good offensive defensemen and because they lost Hamhuis then Suter then Weber they need more hip-checks and scoring on the blueline so no way they take this trade without Ballard. Not to mention the 2013 draft is supposed to be extremely deep so they will be able to replenish their blueline strength almost instantly with good draft picks. Hell they can just pick names out of a hat at random.
