I found this on twitter apparently through someone close to this goaltender. I think it would be a solid pickup as he had tons of potential, from Cornell University and has played in the NHL. He could be a good starter for the Wolves and a possible backup.

Meh, good backup for Cannata next season.

BC boy, put up some solid numbers in the past.

Haha @ the Moose...

Aside from that, if it's true, this could be an interesting choice. I've always liked Leneveu when he stepped in for Phoenix. He's an underrated backup goalie though I haven't heard from him in a long while.

I have to say Dazzle's was the coolest. ROTFLOL

Played for Oklahoma last year (AHL) 18 wins, 12 losses, .918 save percentage, 2.24 goals against - 29 years old from Fernie.
I'm hoping that would indicate Eddie Lack is expected to be the Canucks backup...

If we do end up signing him, hopefully it means that Lack will be our back up... Hopefully it wont mean that Lack is headed to Sweden...

Same. It would give Cannata a chance to develop.

Moose??????????????

LOLs.... :picard: :emot-parrot: :emot-parrot: :emot-parrot:

The key difference is that Sopel can fill in for Seabrook and Campbell just fine. Bieksa, he is garbage so in that sense he is like the worst defenseman in the league.

When Cody (Hodgson) gets older, he might be better than Datsyuk.

Let's not push this guy (Kassian). He's still immature, and if he fails on the 2nd line it's because he isn't ready. Some guys really need years to develop, it's how well and how fast players adapt to the game. In my opinion, I'd rather have Horvat getting 2nd line minutes. He will start off on the 3rd line next season but I see him making the transition, being a great compliment to whoever plays his wings.

At this point, I don't see Kassian fitting in to any role other than a 3rd. If players like Kassian start getting 2nd line minutes then we just stay inconsistent as a team.

The idiocy on CDC....

Looks pretty inconsistent to me, but would be nice for the Wolves, especially if Lack goes off to play in Sweden.

pretty doubtful that anyone on these boards saw Leneveu play a minute of hockey last year... whereas the Wolves GM, coaches, and scouts obviously had, and may have seen some things they liked (and could help a younger guy like Cannata if he's with the Wolves next year...) I'm not really saddened by this. I think Schneider and Lack will do the Nucks proud - I'm hoping Eddie is in Vancouver as opposed to the SEL...

This guy is solid and is of the Gillis college smarts mould, this signing would be great and he could easily step in if there were an injury
