Drybone
well it looks like there could be a bit of a lockout (shorter season) so Gillis has even more time... greaattt
Chaos Giraffe
He can be sent to the minors. One way contract just means he makes the same salary regardless if he's playing in the AHL or NHL. Putting him on waivers would be silly though, if he's going to stay we might as well use him and split the games with Schneider. He's still a great goaltender. Edit: Also if we put him on waivers he'd probably get poached by another team and we'd lose him for nothing... so yeah, bad idea.

canucktican
unicorns could be genetically possible... Yes, unicorns could be genetically possible...so could flying pigs... The summer is not even half over. I don't particularly want the Canucks to just give Luongo away. Pretty sure, the right deal will come along. I just want to see TO kept in the basement though. Underachieving Hero of CDC
Somebody is going to take him I think. If it comes down to it, we'll have to dress a $5.3 mil backup next year until Gillis can get the job done.

HockeyHobo73
If Luongo gets burried in the minors, don't expect any big names to sign with us anymore... But you can expect Gillis to be thrashed by everyone associated with the NHL
Dogbyte
Seriously ??? There needs to be a training session for people under 50 posts....who are not allowed to make threads. There's 10 million threads on Luongo....why the hell would we need another one? That's like me saying...asking you are we there yet a million times...THINK for the love of God. rawkdrummer
Is it possible that Luongo will not get dealt for what we want and get parked in the minors like Redden? I know he's obvioulsy on a 1way contract but not sure if they can some how send him down.
GHL
If the season starts with both Schneider and Luongo on the roster, Schneider will be given the #1 job. Luongo will wait patiently for his turn and if Schneider falters, Luongo will be the number 1 again. If Luongo is a true winner, he will not only regain his number one position but will have a career year. If not, it will be because Schneider really did outdo Luongo. Whether it is a Luongo trade, a Schneider trade, a Luongo/ Schneider tandem, or a Schneider/ Luongo tandem, the Canucks win.

Raiun
I think I've actually heard this proposal before, sending Lu to the Wolves. On the plus side, the Wolves would win the Calder for SURE. That's almost like a Stanley cup right?
