To CHI
Luongo

To VAN
Saad
Shaw or Smith

Realistically manny ppl would say this is not enough
But I doubt Chicago would do this
If they wanted us to take bolland, I'd do it
Also what about Hossa? Interesting player, 71 points last yr, great two player, perfect on our second line with kes and booth

Several posters here seem to think that Luongo playing for Chicago guarantees them a Stanley Cup. Why would a team like Chicago, who are now merely a shell of thier championship team, be able to win a Stanley Cup with a proven playoff basketcase?
Aside from bombing in the SCF, Luongo couldn't get this team out of the second round and I would say that the last three years of this Canucks team are much better than today's version of the Blackhawks.

And again another Loungo thread where all the CDC hockey experts think Loungo is going to get us some significant piece. Seriously what is going on in your head when you think that Chicago would give up either Toews or Sharp in a deal for Lou??? Really you guys make it hard to keep reading this non sense. Chicago maybe gives up some prospects in the Saad, Smith, Krugar catagory but laugh in Gillis face if he even mentions Toews or Sharp. It's amazing the fans that come out of the woodworks when a team has a few good seasons. This board is becoming a joke.

Agree, that we likely will not get full value for Luongo, If were going to get full value for him he'd already be another teams property by now

funny guy where else is a team on the cusp of another championship going to get a goalie capable of getting 40+ wins? let me guess you're one of those geniuses who think the best we could get is a 4th line grinder and a 5th round pick. if u'd pull your noggin out of your arse you'd realize franchise goalies don't grow on trees

Though this isn't one of Luongo's preferred destinations, they still are interested. What do you guys think we'd be getting in return if we traded Luongo to Chicago? How would you react to the trade if it did happen? I'm sure that a lot of you hate hearing about topics about trading Luongo but that's too bad. ;)

I'm sure people like you hate hearing about how stupid you are but that's too bad!

Improving Chicago in the one area they need help is a terrible idea. Even if we would get a solid return, it's not worth it.

Luongo won the gold medal more in front of a cheering Canadian audience then a critical and judgemental Vancouver Canucks audience and broadcast world wide.

Give him the offense and he'll do the rest.

Chicago had the offense.

You are in no way in hell getting Sharp or Toews for Lu. I could see like Kane maybe but thats seems like a stretch too, but maybe like a 3rd/2nd line foward and bottom 4 defensemen. But man Lu on that team with Toews, Kane, Sharp, Bolland, Hossa, Keith, Seabrook playing infront of him....WOW

Toews and maybe Hossa. Not really interested in other players. Trade to Chicago imo is very doubtful. The Chicago-Vancouver rivalry was starting cool down, but has now been intensified again by that hit to Sedin. I highly doubt Gillis would think about trading Luo to Chicago, now just makes them a better team and much harder to play against.

When Joe Niewendyk said he was going all out on free agents he wasn't joking. Niewendyk signed veteran offensive forwards Ray Whitney and Jaromir Jagr. He also traded pest Steve Ott and depth d-man for offensive center Derek Roy. The one move that I thought was risky at the time was trading Mike Ribeiro for Cody Eakin but it was probally...
