nuckin_futz
A great forgotten song. The official video is not available. The video here has the song and a still picture of someone who appears to be Alex Ovechkin. WTF ???

BoggyDepot
That Slaves and Bulldozers is a better song than Blackhole Sun. I personally think Spoonman is my favourite, but Blackhole Sun has two more votes on it last I checked. So once again, the modest differences between the best of the best songs are going to be subjective. Whereas, the differences between great and terrible songs are objective. Eg, compare this with anything by the Backstreet Boys (yuck).

Bieksa's Quote
Your two favorite Soundgarden songs come from Superunknown which is my least favorite of theirs so we will clearly have some disagreements on the bands songs. But just because BHS has 2 more votes than Spoonman on a poll that only has those 2 songs on it, doesn't have anything to do with the "best of the best", it's still all up to opinion. And my personal opinion is that neither of those songs are the best. edit: read wrong

D-Money
First off, a list of best/favourite 90's rock songs without Guns n' Roses? And yet, TWO songs from the Foo Fighters? Seriously? I know you're leaning more towards metal than hair ballads, but still... I'm not a big Tool fan, but I'd seriously consider 46 & 2 - favourite drum solo ever. Also... Are You Gonna Go My Way - Lenny Kravitz Epic - Faith No More Just - Radiohead No Rain - Blind Melon Sabotage - Beastie Boys Been Caught Stealin' - Jane's Addiction Pure Morning - Placebo If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next - Manic Street Preachers Du Hast - Rammstein Common People - Pulp More Human Than Human - White Zombie Cherub Rock - Smashing Pumpkins I Was Wrong - Social Distortion We're In This Together - Nine Inch Nails The Distance - Cake In The Meantime - Spacehog Breaking The Girl - RHCP Self Esteem - Offspring And, although it's technically not "Rock", almost anything off of Portishead's Dummy album. GLASSJAW
Smashing Pumpkins had SO many great songs in the 90's. It's kind of sad to think what Corgan has done with/to the name. Although their (his) new album has received decent reviews, it's still kind of sad to see Corgan turn the Pumpkins into this kind of goth-glam-hard rock band that primarily exists as a Twitter feed for professional wrestling commentary
GLASSJAW
Just - Radiohead Pure Morning - Placebo More Human Than Human - White Zombie Cherub Rock - Smashing Pumpkins I Was Wrong - Social Distortion The Distance - Cake In The Meantime - Spacehog Self Esteem - Offspring
avelanch
Good additions Remember the song "Tahitian Moon" by Porno for Pyros? I still listen to that from time to time. I love it, and rate it much higher than any of Perry Farrell's other work. I think it was featured on one of the Big Shiny Tunes compilations. Some other greats that come to mind: Sloan - Coax Me (seriously, is there be a better Canadian "indie rock" jam?) Blink 182 - Dammit (my favourite of the pop-punk explosion) Blink 182 - Josie Green Day - When I Come Around White Town - Your Woman (not rock) System of a Down - Spiders Bush - Glycerine Mazzy Star - Fade Into You The Cure - Friday I'm in Love 311 - Amber The Wallflowers - One Headlight Rancid - Timebomb Rancid - Ruby Soho Primitive Radio Gods - Standing outside a broken phone booth whatever whatever whatever Hootie and the Blowfish - I Only Wanna be with you (perhaps THE mom jam of the 90s) oh man, so many good songs from that decade. yet very few of the bands were able to maintain any consistency Worst Songs of the 90's: Sugar Ray - Fly
