Dave Bolland? Hell no/yes!

I'd take all three of them if the price was right and my 42 years of being a Canuck fan would have no issues with it whatsoever.

You might want to look up the popular phrase concerning the logo on the front of the jersey and the name on the back....

Bolland publicly apologized to the Twins immediately after the big incident. It's over.

What "nerve" would it take? Mike Gillis wants to make the Canucks a better team and, if he feels Bolland or Marchand or Brule is going to make the team better, he will sign them or trade for them.

Gillis also isn't the Twins' "teammate". He is the GM of an NHL hockey team and public name calling is not something that a GM has to "back you up" on. Gillis could call Bolland a "poopy-face". Would that make you feel better?

These are adults who realize that they are being paid to play a game. Being compared to Ernie and Bert is all part and parcel of the trash talk that goes on game in and game out. The Twins have heard much worse, I am sure.

There are plenty of times in sports where a player has crossed over to the other side of a rivalry. You would have made serious money betting in Nash signing with the Lakers before it happened after all of his years against them.

Sedin - Kesler - Bolland - Malhotra/Lapierre, nice depth down the middle.

It's a moot point because it would never happen. True, they are professionals and some tensions can be forgiven and forgotten when the situation arises. However, it's also true that there are certain players who will never play for certain teams because the tensions run too deep, and he's probably one who will never play for Vancouver. (Let's not forget, his words weren't said in a heated moment of a tight game. He was removed from the game and had time to think about his answers and still said what he said about the entire team, the Sedins in particular and even the city of Vancouver.) He'd just be too caustic simply by walking in the room. His presence would be such a detriment it wouldn't matter how good he was on the ice. Team cohesion, and to a far lesser extent fan willingness to accept a player, is just as important as on-ice performance when adding new players.

So, he'll just have to find another pair of Swedish twins to dream about seeing in their PJs.

Yep, a big HELL NO to Dave Bolland. The guy is a menace here in Vancouver. I don't know how I could fathom supporting him in a Canucks uniform. Hopefully Gillis realizes that acquiring Dave Bolland would be a dimwitted PR move. Most Canucks fans hate Bolland's guts. He's just not a guy you bring in, even if the value is there.

How is being clubbed blindside in the head with a stick comparable to being compared to Ernie and Bert?

Not trying to be rude here, but, maybe use the quote button when you are posting your random thoughts so we know who you are speaking to?
