Are you seriously arguing with people over what sort of ranching Doan might be into? :picard:

No kidding how did this get so de-railed. Besides everyone knows those Manhattan and Pittsburgh ranches are what Doan is wanting to check out ;)

SMITHERS BC IS BEST!!!

Terrific town and area .. let's keep it quiet or CDC will flock there and the land values will plummet from the influx of mobile homes .. B)

You missed the Caribou .. credibility is waning ..

Good catch!

Honestly, just killing time responding to stuff that has only a vague connection to the Doan situation.

Well...if you follow this thread, you might see that some posters seem to believe that ranching is important to him and may factor into his decision. It makes sense as he owns and works a ranch in Arizona. In that case, the availability of suitable terrain is also a factor in his decision.

It may not be directly related to a trade but gives some of us something to discuss while we wait for information. This is a discussion board after all.

You know he can buy a ranch ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD and still play for any team he wants right? Its not like hes going to sit at home all day and ranch it up.

CDC is such a goddamn disgrace.

From your guys' memories. Which other players can you remember that had a "chance" of coming to Vancouver?
I mean looked promising. ( Like this) And totally fell through?

Weber, Hossa etc ;)

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

Gaudreau has one NHL goal whereas all your "prized" prospects have none.

Gretzky was when the dollar was extremely weak and when management was terrible at selling this organization during perhaps one of the darkest times.

Schultz I can understand why he chose EDM...Forsberg like Sakic was loyal to an organization just like how Doan is to PHX....difference is the finances in COR were fine back then.

That Gabby rumour surfaced due to Botchford....who secretly wears tights hence why he has such a high pitched voice.

The key difference is that Sopel can fill in for Seabrook and Campbell just fine. Bieksa, he is garbage so in that sense he is like the worst defenseman in the league.

When Cody (Hodgson) gets older, he might be better than Datsyuk.

Let's not push this guy (Kassian). He's still immature, and if he fails on the 2nd line it's because he isn't ready. Some guys really need years to develop, it's how well and how fast players adapt to the game. In my opinion, I'd rather have Horvat getting 2nd line minutes. He will start off on the 3rd line next season but I see him making the transition, being a great compliment to whoever plays his wings.

At this point, I don't see Kassian fitting in to any role other than a 3rd. If players like Kassian start getting 2nd line minutes then we just stay inconsistent as a team.

The idiocy on CDC....

I just can't see Gillis signing Doan until he moves the Luongo contract. If not, Luongo becomes a cap dump in the eyes of many people. Whether thats right or wrong, GM's will use that as leverage. Even if Kesler is on LTIR to start, they know when he comes back, we need to comply with the cap.
